Weekend awayLovely hotel well situated close to public transport. Both Mamchester and The Trafford centre within easy reach. The staff and management were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious. With a wide selection of options. It was such a lucky find and it will be my first choice when in the area. Monton is 5 minutes walk away and has many restaurants and bars.

Nice convenient hotel. Some places in need of a little freshen upBooked two single rooms here, for visiting Salford City FC and Media City, and wanted somewhere with parking, on the tram network, and places to eat nearby. This ticked all the boxes. When you book you have to state an arrival time, as hotel isnt manned 24/7, and we arrived 30 mins before stated time, but got booked in without any issues. Booking in was functional and efficient, but a quite 'matter of facty' with no 'getting to know you' questions, like where have you come from, how was your journey, what are you her for etc? But was ok. Was told there was a balance to pay (which I knew about) and had to get that sorted before being shown to the rooms. Also had to sign a registration form (name address car reg etc and a confirmation that any damage would be charged to the card) Receipt given and offered a choice of Bacon, Sausage or egg Sandwich for the mornings, and time we would like them delivered. I opted for Sausage, my companion Bacon. Shown to my room and my companion to his and then left to our own devices which was fine after being given directions into town for somewhere to eat later. My room was a budget room so was, as expected small, but adequate & functional with all the required facilities (tea / coffee / TV / Bed / En suite, wardrobe etc). Nice hot shower with good water pressure. Monton is a short 10 min walk away and has a few bars and restaurants of varying prices / styles, so most choices catered for. Back to hotel after a very good indian (seperate review to follow). The keys you are given allow access to front doors 24/7 and your room, so no issue with late arrivals etc. Can hear people above / in adjacent rooms, but nothing to disturbing. 8.30 a knock on my door, and breakfast had arrived. Toast Sandwich with two sauce sachets (1 Brown 1 red) and a carton of Orange juice. Wrapped in Tin foil and covered. However they had swapped the order over and delivered to the wrong rooms, but a quick whatsapp between ourselves and was swapped. no drama. The sausage sandwich was very hot, & tasty. In the room there is an information guide that gives direction to all local places of interest including the tram stop which is a short 5-7 min walk away. Tram into Media Centre, very efficient service, £1.90 return. Easy to use. Noticed a 'spoons opposite the tram station so decided to eat there prior to returning to hotel. Eccles Cross, a standard 'spoons establishment. Back to hotel for some sleep before departing the following morning, and we joked about who would get whose sandwich the following morning. Breakfast arrived 10 minutes early, but not a problem. I opened the door, expecting to see my tray left on the floor as the previous day, but was handed it. I notice a note on it with my room number and 'Bacon' so I said they were round the wrong way and was given the other one, and told quite directly I changed my order! which I hadnt, it hadnt been recorded correctly. not a big deal, but dont tell the customer they have got it wrong when they havent. Had they been left outside the door we would have swapped ourselves as we did the previous day. The hotel was good and functional, and we did only pay for budget rooms, but it is in need of a refresh in places, but generally was clean, and tidy. I would return if in the area again. Whilst I dont expect the host to be constantly knocking on your door to see how you're doing, I did find it strange there was no one about to speak too, just chatter. However we did have a number to ring from the phone in the room if required, but I had no need. This is more an observation that critisism.

Quaint Hotel with Great BreakfastSO the first thing to say, is read the small print. This hotel, and rightly so, does close between 1pm and 5pm for check ins, but this does not pose a massive problem, what with the Trafford Centre literally 5 minutes away. The room we stayed in was great. The bed was very comfortable and with everything you need in the room, including great coffee and tea making facilities. When it comes to getting around, they have a handy taxi phone on the wall with a great company who helped us immensely. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast, wow what can i say it was incredible with a great host it was service with a smile, or not (LOL awaiting the book) but a great experience and i would definitely recommend having the breakfast

Small Room, delicious breakfast! We booked our room in Sept 2019. We were one of three couples reserving a room for 1st February 2020. Our room was on the top floor and was described by the owner when we checked in as 'usually a single occupancy room due to the sloping roof' but told us not to worry because it was a double room, 'just be careful you don't bang your head'. The room was tiny and the comfy bed was tucked under the sloping roof which you could touch whist lying in bed, particularly on the left hand side. There was just enough room to walk around the bed. The roof also created limited space in the bathroom with the toilet tucked under it, quite difficult for those who use the facilities standing up! The room came with a small kettle, one cup and one glass for two people, obviously not adjusted for a couple. The room was too small and it was disappointing that we were put in it when we had booked so far in advance. Our room apparently came with the hot breakfast sandwich delivered in the morning. We opted to have a cooked breakfast downstairs with out friends but still had to pay the full breakfast price of £10 even though our room price included a hot sandwich. A subsidy would have been nice. In saying that the breakfast was lovely and even though the owners looked a little stressed and didn't greet us with a cheery good morning, they were very attentive and made sure we had enough tea, coffee and juice. A full size room for two people would have improved this review and I would advise that you take your own hairdryer because the one in our room was so small and compact that it was pretty useless.

Shocked by the service would never stay thereSo i booked the room in error and called them straight away. The person i spoke to on the phone was so terribly rude and verbally abusive. I paid the money to stay and ended up paying for another hotel, Absolutely terrible service and would not recommend to anyone. So rude, and not professional
