  Una experiencia magnífica

  La rehabilitación de una casa señorial o palacete es excelente. El servicio muy cuidado y agradable, igual que la cena. Sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores hoteles que he visto en Turquía. Digno de lo que los españoles llamamos un Parador. Com detalle muy agradable la terraza para tomar una copa o un té al atardecer o por la noche.

  Stay away

  We just got back from a trip in southeast Turkey. Our last stop was Mardin and we made the horrible mistake of booking two rooms for two nights at Artuklu Kervansaray Hotel. Everything about the experience was sub par. We were given two rooms on two separate floors at opposite ends. One of the rooms stunk like sewage. We were promised a room change for our second night stay which never happened. The front desk treated us like pieces of dirt and when we told them our already stinking room was never serviced for the second night stay, we were told we were lying. The hotel had a power outage twice during our stay and we were forced to navigate the dark hallways just to check up on the kids in the other room. No apology was ever provided. There were no phones in the rooms and wireless network was never working. Any inquiry required a trip down to the front desk in person or an international call from our US based cell phone. Please do not stay at this place. What was an excellent trip up until the point we checked into this hotel turned into a nightmare on the last two days.

  Impressive Service and Quality

  I stayed there 7 days with my family last August Great Service friendly people, very comfortable rooms... Bed was sooo good so First time in my life my wife and I sleept from the first night in a hotel room so easily. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

  Great place

  Very beautiful hotel in a wonderful city. Nice staff too. The food is delicious, abundant breakfast, location is also good. All in all it was a memorable experience. I would probably choose this place again next time I am in this charming city Mardin.

  Terrible customer service

  After trying to book a room through the hotel's website, which they never confirmed, I booked-and paid for-a suite through a third party. When I arrived at the hotel it took them forever to dig out the reservation and I was then shown to a basic, standard room with no comment about how it was not what I booked. While the hotel did refund the price difference in the room, they offered no apologies for not contacting me-or the third party agency-for not informing me the room I booked was not available. In addition: -the room smelled like a toilet -internet did not work -no drinking glasses were provided -the room did NOT look like the pictures (which were much nicer) -towels were old and ratty -concierge staff did not want to let us store our luggage even though there was a room next to the check in desk clearly meant for that purpose
