  Great hospitality

  We had an overnight stay and really appreciated the warm and friendly welcome from Rob & Kaye. Unit with everything you could want. Very clean and great spot by the river. Thanks for making our stay very enjoyable.

  Get away from it all

  For those who enjoy wild beautiful places, with few people, a long way from anywhere, Arthur River is your kind of place. A quiet settlement of about 35 people, it is not touristy, and is low key and quiet. These units provide everything you need, it's clean, comfortable beds, a bit dated but for those who don't care about that, this is a great place to stay. Our initial dismay at a line of 5 units disappeared because it is quiet, so comfortable and warm, close to the wild beach and river, and the ocean glimpse views elevate it to a special place. Rob and Kaye were warm and welcoming, and Rob's boat trip was a highlight of our whole time in Tasmania. Informative, bringing the natural world of the Tarkine to life, while taking us to a magnificent forest and the river. Lunch at his riverside shelter in the rain forest was another highlight, giving us an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the forest. The fire in the pot belly stove was welcome, as was the up-close encounter with 2 wallabies with their young, the sea eagle and the kingfisher. Even though during our 2 nights we had gale force winds and driving rain, so making spending time at the beach impossible, spending 6 hours on the river made up for it. Go with all your meals and food supplies, the general store wasn't serving dinners when were there.

  Excellent stay

  Friendly hosts and everything we required for a self sufficient stay. With experience in the region the chats were informative as well. No hesitation to recommend as the unit was comfortable, clean and quiet.

  Comfortable and welcoming

  We arrived in Arthur River cold, wet and tired and were delighted to find ourselves cosily ensconced in a clean, warm holiday apartment with a beautiful view of the river mouth. We were able to buy food so we were able to stay warm and dry. The bed was very comfortable and clean and the shower blissfully hot. Highly recommended

  Basic but comfortable

  Stayed for two nights and were very happy with our accommodation. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the beds suitable and we slept well. Located close to the river and a quiet location. No wifi but there is mobile reception. Proprietor is very friendly and helpful.
