  Superb location, great staff and service, value for money

  I travelled to Bosnia, Sarajevo, for a conference held on the Adriatic coast, so visited Art Hotel twice, on my way in and out of the country. Usually i stay in the adjacent Hotel Europe, but they were fully booked and I needed a central location. Art Hotel is ideally located, basically within the Baarija, the Sarajevo's Old Town. It takes 5 steps from the hotel door to be standing 'inside' the Old Town. Despite its central location, because the hotel is not located on a major road, and is protected from the arterial city streets by other buildings, it is exceptionally quiet even when the windows are open. The room was clean and comfortable, food delicious, room service great - it was like a home away from home. The hotel also features tasteful displays of art throughout the interior. Adisa at the Reception was a highlight of my stay. Nothing was a problem and everything could be sorted out, including my early check ins, late check outs, and helping with the management of my city appointments. All this was done in the friendliest possible manner, promptly and professionally, and with that easy going 'no problem' Bosnian attitude. I also appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the hotel staff. I am not a 'foodie', and don't travel to eat, but the breakfast ticked all my boxes - plenty of warm as well as fresh food choices, with nice a la carte options. The popular Restoran Maroko, located in the Hotel, offers a lovely fusion of Middle Eastern - Balkans cuisine. Art Hotel is affiliated with Hotel Europe and offers its guests all of the deals available at Europe (e.g. spa, swimming pool, etc.) I will be returning to Art Hotel, my new preferred hotel choice in Sarajevo.

  Great location, but a bit tired

  Located close to the Latin Bridge and old city so pleasant area to walk around and close to many restaurants. No traffic noise. You'll need a tour or transport to appreciate the Balkan war points of interest. Room is comfortable, but tired. Likewise the breakfast. Adequate, but not what you'd expect from 4 stars. I'd use the Hotel again, but wouldn't get excited over it

  Excellent location, great breakfast, helpful staff total value for money

  Located right in old town close to restaurants. Next to historic inn (saray) which makes it more symbolic. Beautiful spacious rooms with fabulous view of Trebevic mountains. The hotel staff is very helpful. We stayed for four nights and our room was upgraded to an apartment suite. This made our stay in Sarajevo really memorable. Ms. Adissa Makas in reception is a very helpful and caring lady. Other staff in the hotel were also very cordial, polite and ready to help. I strongly recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy some degree of luxury at a very reasonable price.

  Great location, but...

  Location of the hotel is great. Steps away from main pedestrian street connecting Old town and "newer" part. Breakfast was very good with variety of drinking and eating options. In my (limited ) interaction with employees, they seemed customer oriented. So far 5 stars My biggest issue was room...specifically comfort as room was decent size. And this is where stars go down Bathroom is on the smaller side, had hard time turning around in the shower cabin. Bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in recently. Springs squeak, and I could feel them as there is no mattress topper or cushion at all. There is a wall unit, but remote could only regulate heat. so there was no option for A/C, or fan to circulate. If you open the window, outside noise is overwhelming. TV is very small so when one is laying in bed there is a small chance to see what is going on. It could be much better location/offering if owners would put some money into comfort improvement.

  Great Location and Great Value

  This was our second stay at Hotel Art and we returned for the great old town location, the free parking and the fabulous value. It is clean and the staff is helpful. True, the sheets don't completely cover the mattress, there are few electrical outlets by the headboard, there is no shelf for bathing items in the shower and the hot food isn't quite hot and the cold food isn't quite cold on the breakfast bar. However, the price cannot be beat, and now that we know what we're getting, we'll be back.
