Off the beaten trackDuring our three weeks in Ireland we stayed at 13 B&Bs. Compared to all accommodations we had experienced we would rate this places 3.5 stars. Kind and helpful host. Room was small and simple - enough spcae for just 1 night. The price for the room was obove our average holiday level.

Perfect Farm in IrelandBeautiful little farm house with dogs, mule, cows, Shetland ponies, hard to find as no signs but once you get there is great. Wonderful hostess and the breakfast was delicious. Had great recommendations for restaurants in town and gave good directions. Unfortunately as a farm must drive, nothing in walking distance but well worth the rural experience. Only issue is that we booked a double but needed two beds and that does not show on the B & B booking. Totally not Cristines fault and she quickly made up a second bed. For North Americans not used to the booking system in Ireland they should ask how many beds you need per room so it does not leave it up to the operator to assume. Was not able to log onto wifi but it was supposed to be available - no worries we were on vacation and should not have been on the computer anyways

Absolute CharmWe loved the charm of this B&B. The hostess Christine, and her daughter (and we even met her grandson out feeding the cattle) are all lovely. There are a couple of great ponies on the property - and plenty of room for roaming around. The breakfast was filling and Christine is very accommodating. We spent a total of four nights at Arradale House - two rooms each night. The downstairs rooms we were assigned on our first two nights had very unusual showers, however, the two rooms upstairs - that we were assigned later on our trip - had decent showers. The upstairs rooms were also larger. Be sure to request those! It is a very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and I would certainly recommend this place for families and couples alike.
