  We found the breakfast very disappointing and the single member of staff very unfriendly towards others we had to keep asking for more food as everything was empty. There were 20 people around the pool and only 4 beds to lay on and a dirty yellow hose in the pool filling it up with more cold water The lack of staff quite frustrating lots of bits and bobs need fixing inside and out downstairs loo didn't flush doors not closing properly to name but a few It's a real shame as this could be such a nice hotel with a bit more effort

  I am not impressed...

  The room was clean and big, but very oldfashioned.... as was the bathroom. I think the hotel needs a thorough renovation. Breakfast was poor, and when we arrived at 09:30 there was no bread left, or even available, although breakfast would last untill 10:00. As a matter of fact there was not much left at all. We will not go back here, sorry...

  Low quality hotel

  Very disapointing stay at the Arosio hotel. The room had a bad smell like it wasn't aired for some time. The bathroom looks like it was designed 30 years ago by students who failed design school. The breakfast was poor, and some tables were dirty from previos guests for a long time. This hotel is supposed to be 4 stars, honestly it is 2+ at best...

  Great value

  We live only about 30 minutes away and my husband and I wanted a pool on a hot weekend so we booked a night here! The pool was great and we were lucky to have it almost empty most of the time we were there! Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The big negative with the room was the air conditioning. I couldnt sleep because it was so hot in the room. It basically did nothing but turn on and off literally every five minutes which also didnt help trying to sleep. The location of the hotel is just fine. There is really nothing walking distance aside from the restaurant and bar right downstairs. In fact, the restaurant provided room service which was awesome! Food wasnt spectacular but the super convenience made it taste better. Haha The breakfast was the regular Italian breakfast fare. Nothing special. We recommend the hotel for sure and will probably be back later in the summer! Next time we will ask to check the air con in the room.

  More like a 1*. Impossible to get a good nights sleep

  First impression good but that wore off almost immediately. Bed is comfortable and we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. This was impossible as they switched off the air conditioning somewhere between 4-5am!! Absolutely ridiculous. Room quickly became very stuffy and uncomfortable. Upon inquiring we were told nothing could be done till morning. Apparently the hotels neighbors have complained about the generators noise in the past due to which they are required to shut off the a/c at certain hours. We were told to open our window and make do. Window opened onto the highway and even though it was the early hours, there was considerable noise and every passing by vehicle woke us up. We feel this should be disclosed by the hotel clearly on their online page! When and if they get a new generator, they can remove it but until then they really shouldnt even be accepting paying customers if they cant offer a good nights sleep!! This happened both the nights we stayed there. If we hadnt prepaid for our stay and return train tickets, we wouldnt have stayed a second night. Pool is tiny and shallow. Even with only one person in the pool, the water overflows onto the lawn which in turn brings out a swarm of ants and spiders on to the loungers. Towels in room are paper thin. No hot water on tap. Instead a low pressure heating system is shower. Not a pleasant experience. Next door restaurant has good Italian food and offers a discount to the hotels customers. However need to collect a coupon from reception to avail this. The discount was mentioned to us at check in and also mentioned in the room but no one told us about the coupon so we werent given a discount. The only good thing about the hotel? Its within 10mins walking distance to a train station. Can take the train(a slow local one at that) to Milan to escape this depressing hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
