Sensacional!

Back again for a second visitWe first visited (and reviewed) this hotel in may 2017. We liked it then and we are glad to say that the place was as good as ever. This hotel is a independent, hotel run by the eponymous Aristoteles. He is a genial and helpful man, ever present and willing to offer guidance on places to visit and other activities (we almost didn't recognise him as he has lost 60kg since our last visit!). The breakfast is plentiful as ever - far too much to eat!! (some people (not us obviously!!) would save pastries and cake for a snack later). Ice cream, beer, wine and coffee are available in the bar area. Aris takes a very relaxed view on adding up your usage and tends to just estimate a (very reasonable) price at the end of your stay. The accommodation is simple but clean and the WiFi is efficient and every room has a sea view. This is an ideal base for exploring the Peloponnese and I would happily recommend this hotel. We hope to return.

An awesome hotel! The location is excellent and the service friendly and impeccable. The hotel its located on a hill and being elevated the view is breathtaking. Our room was spotless and spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the spectacular grounds and the ocean. The breakfast was extraordinary! Freshly squeezed orange juice accompanied a hug tray packed with freshly baked Greek traditional breakfast delights and as if this wasn't enough, fried eggs to our specification! The beautiful beach is walking distance. There are many restaurants and shops in the town nearby. Our very favourite was Kalogerikon which was walking distance from Aristoteles. The host, Aristoteles himself, made us feel like family. He truly enjoys mingling with his guests.

Beautiful locationWe stayed in this hotel right at the end of the season, so we probably didn't see it at it's best. There were only us and another family staying, which meant that apart from a short period in the morning to serve breakfast, the public area of the hotel was closed and there was no bar service. This was disappointing, especially as all the beach bars in the vicinity were also closed. However, the rooms were cleaned every day to a very high standard and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh. I would also have liked to use the pool, but this was full of leaves and wasn't cleaned for the whole week that we stayed. I think my advice would be to not stay in November!

Warm welcome on the road in!We were on a cycling tour of Greece and was met on a moped by the owner who warmly introduced himself and we followed him to the hotel! That is taking reception to a new level. The rooms were clean and spacious with a decent view. The bathroom was on the basic side but perfectly OK for what we wanted. We were visiting in May so there were not many other guest so it felt a little quiet. The restaurant was closed but a short walk is a very good taverna. Looked like a nice big pool with lots of seating over several levels, clearly geared up for the peak season. Breakfast was good without being spectacular. We met the owner again the next day who gave us some tips on where else to visit on our travels. A very friendly hotel and one I would recommend.
