  'Cheap and cheerful' as we Brits say

  Low cost and very basic hotel. No one on reception when I arrived at 10:00 p.m., and was let in by strange man who seem to have vague connection to hotel, and located my key card; his English was, surprisingly, no better than my Swedish. The room was clean and met my needs. Free WiFi was available. Breakfast options were limited - essentially cereals, cold meats, bread/rolls, juice, coffee in a paper cup; you are advised to avoid the orange juice which looked and tasted like dirty water. If you're lucky with the connections, as I was, you can get to Stockholm Central Station in 25 minutes, even on a Sunday. Nearby Lidingo Centrum seemed fairly dead in the evening. Worth considering if you're on a low budget and are not fussy.

  Better than it seems at first glance

  Hotel is definitely no "design jewel", yet it is full of obviously satisfied guests. Small, cramped rooms with poor equipment, small bathrooms, but everything is perfectly clean and they have there large, soft, bushy towels. I love it. And helpful staff - nothing is a problem. Hotel is quiet, not far from city center (and nearby large park - cemetery). When you come to the hotel in the evening, you have there for a free a great local soup in a big bowl, some fruit, pastries, soft drinks... And if you wish, you can use fully equipped (shared) big kitchen with a fridge. Breakfast was also pretty good, even you can do yourself your own waffle :-) Simply it is a hotel just for sleeping, but with nice people and attractive small benefits. We were satisfied here.

  Low fare - lower quality

  Stayed for one night which was more than enough. Reasonable bed and bathroom but that kind of sums it up. No minibar, no possibility to buy anything at the hotel, only two channels on the tv and a free WiFi that was so slow it was for all sense of purpose non-functional. When I wanted to leave next morning after a less than decent breakfast I was told by the kitchen staff/front desk clerk that I could get a taxi in 45 minutes... Definitely my last stay at the Ariston!

  Great stay at ariston hotell

  I visited Stockholm with my family in last may vacation. I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Hotel is at good location in lidingo. Very near from bus stop. I visit stockholm by bus.hotel has good continental breakfast. The lady owner is very cooperative she offered lunch to us. health club is just bedside the hotel. Good parking space. Nice location. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

  Very good value for the money. Nature trip.

  The room was very big to be a standard room. I loved the big window which was some steps down giving a feeling of being in a bright attic. We could work with our laptops as there were two separated areas in the room where we didn't disturb each other. There were a lot of electrical outlets. It was very friendly and accommodating personnel in the reception. We were offered coffee, tea and croissants when we checked in. Parking was free and just outside the hotel. Breakfast was in a small cosy room but surprisingly with a wide assortment of hot and cold food including waffle maker. As we were only 2 pairs at breakfast at the same time, we felt safe in this covid period. This hotel had a good location just a few minutes from centrum and from nature. After check out we had a refreshing walk in Älvvik.
