  Outlooking the beautiful fine sand beach of Plati between trees and a taylord garden gives you the feeling . runed by a very friendly,profesional couple,Dimitri and Magda. All the necesary amenities with a playground for kids and a usefull bbq area. parking and easy access.Shopping and Plati village nearby.Fantastic sunsetting with the who;;y mountain of Athos in the background.

  Lovely self-catering accommodation in a great location

  An excellent location; set in a mature garden leading down to the beach and sea with a bbq area, a variety of flowers and plants (3 different palms, passion flowers, jasmine, a bottle-brush tree and roses), a little vineyard and bursting vegetable patch, you feel you're in the heart of the country - our neighbours included a goose, chickens, goats, a donkey and sheep - yet there are is an excellent taverna close by (Gegoris - they even gave us a lift home one night - 2 doors away - as it was raining), a few good cafe/beach bars and both the traditional village behind and the charming capital are only 40 minutes' stroll away - and I have walking difficulties. We booked the ground floor apartment and we had a large covered terrace, kitchen/living room and prettily-decorated bedroom with additional storage space in the corridor between bedroom and bathroom. Demetrios, the owner is a delightful character, very helpful, informative and great fun; if ever there was a problem or query he was there immediately. His father waters the garden in the evenings - both speak good English (luckily as I am fluent in Greek to a total of 35 words) - and during the 2 weeks there presented me with red roses from the garden, a bunch of heavenly-scented herbs and a bowl of plums fresh from the tree - typical of the Greek generosity we've experienced. We highly recommend Magda. It was comfortable, well-located, I could lie out in the sunny garden whilst my partner read in the shade - there are free beach beds, also garden tables and chairs at the top of the beach as you go through the garden gate, and the swimming was excellent. There is much to see and do on Lemnos too - the coach tour had an excellent guide, there are boat trips to remote beaches and we visited the capital several times. Lots of little villages to explore too. Good to see there are still unspoilt Greek islands around.

  On the Beach!

  We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Magda Studios. We were in the ground floor apartment facing the garden and beach. It is a lovely location and Dimitris and his family made us very welcome and we enjoyed our stay. Valentina cleaned thoroughly every day with clean sheets and towels on Sundays as well as Thursday (changeover day). Nice little patio with wooden table and wood/canvas chairs. But - the apartment is basic even by Greek standards and a bit rough round the edges - extractor fan over cooker installed but never connected - screw missing from bathroom door handle so handle is loose & hard to close - light bulb missing - very basic kitchen equipment/cutlery/crockery and although just about adequate for 2 certainly wouldn't be for 4 - no comfortable indoor chairs - the living room has a small table with 2 chairs, 2 very uncomfortable single beds and a foam folding chair bed - we had a few days rain and cold weather so it would have been nice to have been able to sit & relax comfortably inside. Having said all that we did like our stay at Magda - the garden is lovely and to walk down the garden path to the beach is great. There is a mini market a couple of minutes walk up the road and tavernas in easy walking distance - although beware lots of things closed at the end of our first week because it was the end of the season. The village of Plati is also walking distance - but beware it is up a VERY steep hill so is quite a hike. Myrina is a good half hour stride but only 6euro by taxi. It is a working port but is a very pretty harbour. Myrina offers many good restaurants & tavernas, shops, a very interesting museum and an ancient archaeological site as well as the impressive fortress beautifully illuminated at night. Lemnos is certainly a lovely island to visit - but I wouldn't recommend Plati at the end of the season!

  Magda Studios is the perfect accommodation on the Blue flag beach of Plati,Lemnos

  We spent 7 lovely nights here in July on one of our favorite islands. Magda Studios is the perfect accommodation if you are looking for a clean, friendly and well-equipped base for a beach break. The rooms are immaculately clean and very spacious and have a well-stocked little kitchen area with a hob, coffee maker, fridge freezer, and a kettle. There is a regular maid service and the accommodation is 30 meters from the lovely blue flag Plati beach . The best feature of all is the welcome you receive from hosts and owners Dimitri and Magda. They are incredibly helpful and always have time to talk with guests. We came back refreshed and will definitely stay with Dimitri in the future when we return to Lemnos. Magda studios are fabulous value for money! Thank you, Dimitri, for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended

  Perfect

  We stayed here for 8 nights and it was perfect. Nice location with direct access to the beach. Nice vegetable garden and a small play area. Parking is in the shade and in 5 mins you are in Myrina. Dimitris was very nice and helped us with our plans. Would definitely return here.
