  Good Place for an Osen Stay

  The onsen hotel is located on top of the hill which provides excellent views. The room is clean and the food is also excellent, especially the breads they served. Only challenge is walking up the very very steep slope to the hotel. Best is to call the hotel for their shuttle service to pick up at the train or bus station. The staffs do able to speak simple English.

  Staycation

  Our 2nd stay at this hotel this year. The friendly chap welcoming people on arrival is always a nice touch. Suggestion for hotel: as repeat guests, a simple 'welcome back' comment would make the check in experience that little less cold, and doesn't even cost one yen. We chose the cozy smaller cottage and allocated P2 which was overall as pleasant as the larger cottage we occupied last time. The autumn leaves had almost all fallen so the ground was covered with beautiful colors or red, brown and green. The garden is indeed a highlight. Another highlight was the 'shojin ryori' restaurant which we booked as part of our package. The food and service were both stellar and we left the restaurant feeling most content. Breakfast at LaFontaine though adequate enough, we felt a little uninspiring. Not unlike breakfast at a cheap Japanese business hotel - not a bad breakfast but I'm sure they can be a little more creative with the menu. The onsen is definitely soothing and a great way to relax the muscles and mind. Overall, quite satisfied with our stay.

  Vacation

  We just checked out of the hotel and the overall experience was good except that after we checked out the hotel, driver just dropped us at a convenient bus stop for him, which was the wrong stop for us to travel back to Osaka. We asked him several times but he simply refused to bring us to the other bus stop to check. In the end we missed our bus and had to pay for new tickets. We are travelling with 2 small children and had to lug our baggages to get to the next stop in the freezing cold. To rub salt to the wound, we saw him drop other guests at this stop when we reached. Experience was negated by a poor service staff.

  room very spacious Japanese dinner and breakfast very good went to the onsen in the evening and in the morning before check out ....the swap Male and female onsen every day . we came by bus ,since most of us only have data for our hand phone coz in japan they dont have voice call sim for tourists , so we cant call the free shuttle service from concierge to pick us up at the bus stop. from bus stop to hotel is 500 meter but a steep uphill, after halfway up one of us left the luggage with our group and go to the hotel to rescue us and our luggage

  Great hot spring hotel

  Its my second time to visit this hot spring resort. I had good time again.Its great service as my first time experience. I had the for dinner. The waitress told me the name of the vegetable ,how did the chief cook it and whats the benefit of my healthy.I really enjoy my birthday vegan dinner. There are two rooms and one yard next to my private bath room. I can see the bird in the yard and enjoy my bath in the room. Great staff , Nice room and definitely will come back again.resort.
