  Maravilla de hotel , tranquilo, limpio y acogedor ! Restaurante fantastico con comida fabulosa ! Buen trato y personal muy atento . Recomendable 100% De los mejores hoteles de toda sri lanka ! Visitarlo que merece la pena .

  Comfort in the forest.

  Arika Villa is a modern boutique hotel with a small number of rooms. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The hotel backs on to a river and then forest so we sprayed regularly with mosquito repellant which proved to be effective. The housekeeping was extremely good and each day when we returned from our excursions the room was immaculately clean with fresh towels and toiletries topped up. There is a swimming pool which we used for a refreshing dip when we returned from our excursions. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, they simply couldnt do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. There isnt much in the immediate vicinity so unless your driver takes you somewhere they know you are limited to the hotel restaurant. We ate a mixture of Sri Lankan meals and western, alternating breakfast and dinner. The Sri Lankan food was always outstanding whilst the western food was not quite of the same standard. Had we been able to manage the SL breakfast and dinner each day, this would have been the answer but it would simply have been too much food. I can strongly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast with hoppers. This hotel does not have a licence to serve alcohol although they will sell you a can of Lion beer. If you want wine or a G&T then you need to provide your own as we did. The hotel is happy to open these without a corkage charge. There is a mini fridge to keep drinks cold. Simply dont expect cocktails, wine list or spirits etc. On one of our three nights we were the only couple in the hotel. On the other two nights there was one other couple. As a consequence the dining room did not exude any atmosphere and the attentive service was so fast that dinner was over and done within an hour. We did not see anyone else use the lovely pool in the three days we were there. Sri Lanka has still not recovered from the Easter bombings of 2019 and it is a shame to see such lovely boutique hotels in the main season with very few clients. We wish the hotel all the best for the future and thank the staff for their attentive service.

  Calm and peaceful corner....Appreciate your cooperation...

  The villa is way in from the main road.Had a wonderful start, were greeted with garlands and papaya drinks. Room was spacious with a small sitting area right in front of a small stream. Bathroom was huge and clean. Small cozy dining area over looking a small pool. Staff is really sweet . Perfect place to stay for 2-3days far from hustle bustle. I have to add our experience regarding a small mishap.... The next day after our long day excursions... when we were returning to the villa .... it became impossible to reach the place due to flash flooding... ( as it rained previous night and on and off the whole day) ...the reason was, one has to cross a small bridge to reach the villa. Well all thanks to our driver Saman from SLE ... he tried to contact the property but to no avail .... at last he took as to some nearby hotel ... where we spent the night. The next day my hubby along with Mr. Saman went to Arika villa to collect our stuff and to get refund of one night dues as we had to travel to Kandy that day . I want to say my special thanks to Arika villas stuff and administration ... all our stuff was save including Mac book ,iPhone and camera lens. Regarding one night refund they said we should contact the booking company... that was agoda in our case. We contacted agoda but according to them it was non refundable booking so only if Arika villas adm is ok with it ... so we contacted Villas again and long story short, we got the refund. Once again a big thanks to Arika Villas Admn....for this deed.

  Love!

  From the moment you enter the property you're in awe of the beauty and the interior of the location. We had the entire boutique hotel to ourselves and we just loved it. From the interior and the ambiance of the entire property was on point. The staff was so courteous and accommodating, and the food was so good as well. Good location for a group of friends or family and if you just ask the staff youd even be able to find a secret bathing spot too. Absolutely will return.!!

  Perfect Compact Resort

  Disaster 2020 ended with great surprise in Arika Villa for us. We stayed on the last days of 2020. The staff is marvelous. Very friendly and polite to us, even we were the only guests there. The resort is not large, very compact, but accommodating everything. The pool was also nice. They offered a good variety of foods. Location was also very relaxing. Thanks for decorating our room lovely.
