Fabulous peaceful stay in this comfortable & unique hotelStayed 2 nights in the Paul Jean Toulon Suite which was fabulous with a very large balcony, great bathroom with huge bath, separate walk in shower & luxury toiletries. The hotel only has a few rooms, but as you have free access to the huge lounge & bar area, plus outdoor garden and terraces with great country views, it feels very spacious and peaceful. Nice touch that you can help yourself to complimentary high quality tea and coffee from the bar area at any time, nice to take a morning cuppa back up to bed (robes provided!). Also a fridge and honesty bar to help yourself to wine or snacks at any time, then wander into the salon with its huge range of tv, films, music, games etc. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful, the service was great and choice really good with local hams & cheeses offered, as well as fruit, fresh juice, yoghurts, bakery basket with little extras such as fig toast - well worth paying for a peaceful breakfast. Nice to be able to make an extra cappucino after breakfast on the amazing coffee machine in the bar complete with steamer. I think this is a peaceful little gem, just a few minutes drive from the madness of the busy coast road from St Jean de Luz and Biarritz. A great location to visit these 2 towns, plus only 30 mins to San Sebastien. The owner couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Great little venue if you like something a little different from the usual bland corporate hotels. All the rooms are nicely decorated and furnished in different styles - something for everyone. Ideal for eating at nearby Ferme Ostalapia and Le Madrid only a few minutes away.

Beautiful, peaceful, perfect for familiesWe stayed 3 nights with our 1 year old daughter and she enjoyed the villa as much as we need. she could walk around freely in the spacious common area downstairs, loved the garden, while we were stunned by the decor. friendly welcome, great holiday for the whole family.

Quirky but in a good wayI loved this hotel. It is beautifully decorated and the views over the St Jean de Luz hinterland are stunning. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Couldn't fault it. Our host was charming and helpful.

Unique, quirky...and awkwardI love unique and quirky especially when combined with great comfort, and this certainly falls into that category, with spacious rooms and even more spacious bathrooms. Our experience however was very average, mostly due to the interaction with what I suspect is the owner: difficulty in getting into the place at check in (no bell that I could see and the door firmly shut); a hurried welcome with no explanation on the hotel (we were basically handed the key, the code to the door and left alone in place with no trace of anyone able to answer any questions); a ceiling fan in the room which was so old and noisy it couldn't be used (we stayed during a particularly hot day - can't be that rare - and given all the mosquitoes a working fan would have been helpful); and finally a very bizarre mistake in our check out bill.... It all made it for a very awkward experience, and sadly one that I would not recommend.

Wonderful few daysWonderful service. Very helpful staff. Fantastic location. Thoroughly enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you. Just one recommendation - to build a pool on the spare bit of land would send it onto the next level!!
