World Cup TripChose this hotel due to the close proximity to World Cup stadium. Location next to beach and 20 mins walk to stadium was great. Two very good pools nice rooms and good value - from an Australian point of view. Would have given 5 Stars but Restaurant/Bar Service was very very poor, with the young staff more interested in chatting to each other rather than serving customers and not being able to charge back to the room was a hassle

Great family getawayGreat location, right by the beach. Pool is nice and clean right by the villas. Breakfast offered a great variety of things and cute teddy bears in the lounge. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back!

Will not come back ...Stayed two nights at main building, mountain view room. Check in was efficient, they gave me a bracelet (just carry with you, no need to wear) which was never asked ))). The room was ok but lots of drawbacks ... huge bath (rathe useless -imho) and a tiny shower with a toilet, no sofa or chair in the room except for a working chair. All room is tiered, lots of scratches and chips everywhere. The wiring works not well few lamps had wiring problems. I had to work a bit and was surprised the had no pen and paper in the room, as well as extra pillows, blankets etc which youd expect at 5 stars. The room is very dark, sun never shines from that side and i had to use electric lights at all times... The spa is very small from all perspectives - small pool, small steam-bath and sauna, small area for loungers (it does not exist in fact), small reception, small towels ... The stupid procedure of 1k rub deposit per towel is realy from a stone age ! Stupid !!!! Breakfasts are mediocre, more of a 3 star ... small selection, poor service, the cook is not able to make fried eggs without spoiling at least one, poached eggs are unheard of ... Both exits from the hotel - to the seaside or into the town will require a long walk to get to any place as the territory of the hotel is huge ... The in-house restaurant Chaikhona No1 is okay probably but they are cash only which to me is a black-list immediately ... So, Pros: - big rooms, nice beds. - you can stay at private cottages or huge apartments (fit for large groups) - centrally located, yet quiet Cons: - breakfasts poor - spa small, unpleasant - restaurant not accepting cards - rooms tiered Overall: this is not 5 star for sure, you can find better choices around unless you are a large group and ready to pay for a three stores villa with a private pool !

One Star Too ManyWe stayed at Arfa Park Hotel during our late October vacation. The choice of hotel was based on positive reviews and attractive pictures, plus great location by the seaside. First - the undeniably attractive layout of the hotel that consists of three rows of freestanding villas, several rooms large each. Villas also feature shared spaces, such as spacious living rooms, kitchens, in case you need it, sitting area outside and a (non-heated) swimming pool. Surrounding the villas are the garden areas and a private driveway that interconnects them and the main hotel building. An overall great setup that kind of makes you feel like you are renting a private villa, rather than staying in a hotel, especially off-season, when there are not that many guests. There is a number of things we did not like in our stay, however, and they range from poor facilities to poor service and attention from the staff. When we were first shown to our room we discovered a bunch of teabags and McDonalds' sugar packs thrown loosely on the baggage shelf (the one you are supposed to put your suitcase onto), the bathroom would have been nice if it was not for mildew in the shower cabinet and occasional hairs left over from previous occupants on the floor. Once we had to specifically call the reception to get our room cleaned at 6pm, having returned from a day of absence, since no one bothered to do it, despite the sign on the door clearly requesting for it. Other than that, the room was fine - large bed, clean bed linen, enough space, big window overlooking the garden, bathrobes, slippers, the usual. Signs of wear and tear here and there, lack of main lights switch by the bedside and some other small details kept us from being impressed. We did have a problem with the mosquitos and went to the reception to ask for some sort of anti-mosquito device, of which they did not have any, but had promised to look into it. Time passed, nothing happened, on successive inquiry we got the "we do not equip our rooms with anything like that". So, instead of sleeping with open windows and enjoying the fresh sea air, we had to sleep with the closed window and noisy aircon. Not cool (no pun intended). Breakfasts also were a mixed bag: the omelet station was great, offering to cook your eggs the way you want them, adding a good variety of extra ingredients. Hot dishes rotated on a daily basis, so you would have veal on one day, fish on the other, sausages on the third, etc. On the other hand, breakfast classic - the smoked salmon - was nowhere to be found. The offering of cheese and ham and whatnot was okay, but nothing to write home about. The variety of vegetables and fruits was on the poor side. If you like croissants for breakfast, you are out of luck: at Arfa Park they are considered pastry and we had only seen them once or twice. The coffee was good, the pastries were a bit of a miss and hit. Overall - good breakfasts, but not great. The spa and the swimming pool areas are indoors. There are multiple outdoor swimming pools, but they are all unheated and therefore not usable in October. First, we had to pay a deposit for towels ... 5-star? Hello??? Really not classy. Anyway, the swimming pool itself was nice, with a big water slide in the middle. The area around the pool was a bit cramped and the floors were definitely slippery, but these were more of small nuisances rather than big issues. The spa area is located directly around the pool - you have a couple of doors leading directly into Hammam and Finnish saunas. Functional, but not very relaxing, feeling a bit like an afterthought. Overall - not bad, but once again, probably not at 5-star level. To sum it all up, during our stay at Arfa Park, we kept bumping into small and not so small details, that kept telling us "this is not 5-star". They had an opportunity to do something for my husband's birthday, like send a cake or at least a "Happy Birthday!" card like some hotels do (they know birthday date from Booking.com), but at that point, we would have been rather surprised had that happened, and sure enough - it did not. Take one star away and it will be a decent hotel. Not returning.

arfa park HOLE! THE WORST, HAZARDOUS and OVERPRICEDWe stayed in one of the front Villas and I was looking forward to sit outside and enjoy the evening, until i started noticing things... BROKEN UNEVEN TILE BY THE POO, CUT OPEN ELECTRICAL WIRES RIGHT BY THE WATER (???), most of things in the room were either broken or dusty. Customer service had the worst attitude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
