  We stayed in this hotel in the begin of September,came to our Friends Italian Wedding. We liked this hotel. The Room was spacious along with the bathroom,very very clean. Swimming pool is always available,clean and very well maintained. Breakfast is average but we found everything what we needed:nicely made Italian Cappuccino,jam pie,ham & toast. Free Wi-Fi ,never had any problems,connection was brilliant. Free Car Park with a lot of spaces. We had our dinners at the Centre of Pontinia or evening snacks like Pizza (Pizzeria "Margarita"),1 square slice - 1. Also there is a Supermarket "Conad" we were buying Italian wines, Sparkling Wine, cherry tomatoes,bottles of still water,Parmaham,Italian Cheese,affordable prices. The Beach is 15-20 minutes by car.

  Excellent Hotel with Wonderful Staff

  We chose this hotel because it was in a quiet town, but near the lovely beaches of Sabaudia. It has everything you could want -- especially air conditioning (in August), and a wonderful outdoor swimming pool. The garden area is very well tended. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they help with everything, and are very lovely and welcoming people.

  Beyond all expectations!

  After staying in multiple destinations in Italy, I found this to be the best hotel and restaurant I've experienced. In my opinion this should be rated a higher star hotel than it is. The staff are so hospitable and attentive to all my needs. The rooms are modern and clean, with air conditioning that works extremely well. The hotel has a stunning pool and garden area to relax. The restaurant has delicious food with tons of variety, it's probably the best food within 100 mile radius. I highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling in the area. Thanks to Hotel Ares for a fantastic stay and making our vacation so memorable! We can't wait to visit again soon!

  Oasis in middle of no where!

  This hotel was just as you see in the photos, perfect pool and surroundings. The family who own it gave us exceptional service, with advice on where to eat and also organising us to eat in the restaurant of the hotel also. They even catered for our children as the menu was mostly seafood, they made our children plain tomato pasta which was divine. We can highly recommend this hotel to everyone, from food, service, beds to poolside all was wonderful! Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds.

  Disappointed

  This hotel is a really mixed bag. The positive is the wonderful pool and beautifully maintained gardens, it really did feel like an oasis. The breakfast was disappointing, poor quality offering in an area abundant with agriculture and fresh produce. The poolside evening meals looked promising but focused on fish and seafood but then the menu told you that almost everything was from frozen source (even so close to the coast), it was our most expensive meal in our fortnight in Italy and poorest quality (with a loud Club Ibiza style music back drop). The room was clean, bathroom good, air con good but bedroom fittings felt and smelt musty. The younger family staff members were warm, friendly and accommodating. The main reception rooms were stuffed with rows of tables and chairs, and it would be worth avoiding stays when functions are on as this is clearly a big focus for this hotel. Conveniently placed for beach resorts, free parking, but not an attractive town for a evening stroll or for finding alternative places to eat. This could be a great hotel but it needs to offer tourists simple, fresh, tasty Italian food at prices in line with other restaurants.
