  Good Value for Money

  I \ve been travelling around many different countries seeing places randing from 5star to 1star. so it is very easy for me to estimate the quality and the service just from the first sight. In Aree Beach resort, everything was organized very well: we had fresh bedset, hjotshower, and the towels every day, needless to mention, fresh fruits as well as smiles of the personnel and very thoughtful and mind-broadening converstaions with the owner, who is the German man. The location of Aree Beach Resort was also very convenient for us - not far from the cental streets of Lamai Beach yet very close to the sea vawes. We also had a wonderful stroll on the beach right to the rocks on the south west of Koh Samui. It was romantic and breathtaking. I have only the best memories of the place. Also, it is an ideal hotel for families with children. Home-like, simple, and calm resort in the central part of Lamai. Isnt that what a European traveller is looking for while on an island? ;) To make it short, I will definetely recommend my friends to stay in Aree Beach Resort in Koh Samui.

  be carefull don't pay in advance

  The german owner is not honest, don't pay in advance otherwise you will be trapped in that place quiet noisy and where there is a lack of privacy when all rooms are occupied, be carefull this place is not made of individual bungalows like it is said on Samui Info website. Bad experience I had to find an other place in the middle of my holiday and did not get the right refund even if I made a deal with the owner. Room rates are not great deals after checking many hotels on site; My advice just book one or two night somewhere and just look around when you get there, you will always find the place you are looking for.

  small rooms

  very basic small rooms at relative high prices close to beach, no pool. Breakfast in a room in the back. To lamai centre 15 minutes walk.

  "Not a Place to Stay"

  Stay in aree beach resort was not worth paying.though we had no option as we had paid in advance. I went there with my friends last year in the end of December. The hotel was very crowded and there was no privacy in the rooms. staff and the owner himself was not polite.the rooms were very expensive.i would not go back to stay there again.

  Don't stay here!!

  The place on itself is run down. The rooms have no privacy. In our case the AC was not working and the woman promised us that it will be fixed in the noon. When we came back from lunch she was saying that the air conditioning is fixed and we have to wait an hour for a room to get cold. After three hours we started to complain that the room is still hot and the AC is not working. She was offering us to get another room and pay extract because it's bigger and has a view. We were starting to get angry at here because we war paying for room with AC but all we got was fan. In the end after long discussion we got the room with the AC and with a lot of negative emotions from the stuff. Don't stay here all day thing and see is money. The prices are not reasonable , you can get much better deals on this island for the money.
