  Pleasant surprise - nice motel on Otaga Peninsular

  This motel is just outside Dunedin on the way to the Otago Peninsular. Its not in a fantastic location and we were a little worried when we pulled up for our one night stay. However, we were delighted. The hostess allowed us to check in early. The room was huge with a double and a single bed, plus a kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and the wifi was really good. You can also walk to a fish & chip shop and a local brew pub. The road is not that busy and we stayed during peak season. For the money, this was the best value place we stayed in. Highly recommended if you want a budget place to stay.

  Great Motel and Happy, Cheerful Management

  Booked very last minute (30 mins) as Otago Peninsular full. Motel alongside road, a few mins drive above Dunedin. Fish & Chip shop, food store across road. Large supermarket, petrol station a few mins drive further up road. Nothing special to look at BUT speedy check-in, friendly, efficient manager who was exceedingly good at his job. Thank you. The room was spacious, great facilities and we had a quiet, relaxing night after a long days drive. Bed and linen comfortable and good quality fixtures and fittings in room. Highly recommend accommodation and special thank you to management for being so welcoming, HAPPY and a pleasure to deal with.

  Good value

  I stayed in the villa bed-sit which had a large bed, small sofa, coffee table, fridge and kettle. It was clean and comfortable. Private bath attached to the unit, and TV with several channels. Around the corner is a terrific bakery, a pharmacy and post office, hairdresser and pub. Across the street was a decent fish and chips/Chinese takeaways shop. Down the street is a dairy with organic milk and some fresh produce. The location is close to other businesses and a short hop into the city center.

  A nice place to stay

  Apart from having road works making access difficult when we were there earlier in the year, it was a very nice place to stay. Clean and tidy, and comfortable. Access to the venue we required was good, and it was a quick trip into the city itself.

  Lovely wee gem

  Stayed here for a night during a visit down from Queenstown with the mrs. The lady, whos name has escaped me, was very accommodating and the room was fantastic. Not too far from the town centre and st clairs beach. Would definitely stay here again!
