  MEDIOCRE HOTEL

  We had the chance to visit Arcadia Hotel during a four day group tour booked through an agency, during the 31/12/15 - 03/01/16. I checked the Arcadia Hotel beforehand and to be totally frank I had some expectations from a 4* Star Hotel. At this time of the year, it seemed to me that the Hotel was mainly opened for those specific dates and wasn't at it's fullest. The receptionist lady seemed to do a lot more stuff but was always service oriented. The Hotel has nice surroundings, though it is far enough from the main city, circa 4kms. The new year's even found us in the main restaurant space with live music which was pretty nice! I was suprised that they only had one brand of wine though... Now regarding the rooms: Well, they were pretty basic with ok furniture but not enough plugs - imagine that we wanted to charge our phones and use our hairdryer (though it had one in the bath) but still was difficult enough. There was no main light above the beds- we asked for a double but had twins and did not bother to move from room to room since we were tired enough from our day trips around Thrace-. Also, there was a black mark on the bedsheet but the receptionist took care of it in time when we asked for a change. Breakfast was ok and our Half Board had a mainly a variety of meats but not something outstanding. Keep in mind that this is a four star hotel. I think that with some modifications and improvements the Hotel can really show it's real potential to the guests.

  Not impressed at all

  Arrived to Arcadia for 2 night stay in August 2015. Low standard rooms with outdated bathrooms which could accommodate larger shower cabins to what we have found there. Restaurant not operational in evenings with no bar food available. If you take into account that hotel is virtually in the middle of nowhere you are left with bar drinks and snacks from your suitcase. Polite staff would be the only PLUS worth mentioning as everything else is just from mid 1980's. Stained carpets , outdated furniture does not contribute to good experience for this premium rate expensive to what it has in offer hotel. Decent size outdoor swimming pool with good ambient but LACK of restrooms so be prepared to walk quite a distance , wet to your hotel room if in need. Simply unacceptable. Definitely will not stay there again in future.

  Arcadia is four-star hotel in verdant surroundings near the Komotini University campus. 4 km from the city centre so you must have a car or take a taxi The hotel facilities include free private parking, free wireless internet access in all rooms, a lobby-bar, fitness centre and sauna, an open-air 600 m² swimming pool with pool bar(only summer time), a children's play area, a beach volleyball court, a tennis court and a helipad.Very friendly staff ,quite clean and nice food.Value for money.Very small TV in room.

  Potentially a great hotel...

  A hotel situated on the foothills of the Rhodope mountains. The landscaping around the hotel and the swimmming pool are wonderful. However, the Hotel buildings are, in places, in a state of disrepair. Maintenance is clearly suffering... The hotels rooms are a good size and cleanliness is average to good. the breakfast is relatively good.

  A hotel in the woods close to komotini town

  Very quite area in the woods close to the University of Komotini. Very large spaces. When we visited there were few other guests which makes you feel somewhat uncomfortable in such a large isolated hotel. Service was decent. The room was ok. The bathroom looks outdated. The view of the forest from the balcony is rewarding
