  Hard beds but clean

  This room worked fine for a short night sleep. The shower doors allowed lots of water on the floors and thus a need for additional towels. While it is true the beds were harder than I desire. The room was clean, and thus ok for me. Found hotel staff helpful.

  Dear readers, Today my review is different. On 15th January 2017 my daughter's weeding dinner programme was held at Ararat Hotel. So starting from the beginning the hotel administration work discipline was very amasing & I impressed . Next their food preparation is more than my expectation. The quality, quantity & the staff's loyalty was just like I felt that I am in my home. Totally the hotel have unique service as I have sayed at the beginning. Therefore any one who wants to prepare same kind of program specicialy who lives in Ethiopia don't go anywhere other than ARARAT HOTEL OF ADDIS ABABA. THANK YOU FOR ALL STAFFS PARTICIPATE ON THAT DAY.

  Hotel in Adisababa with Nice Ambience but Lackisidal managment.

  We stayed in Hotel Ararat during layover in Adisababa that was provided by Ethiopian airlines. The reception was good, staff was welcoming and friendly. We were provided lunch and break fast coupons. When reached for BF which was served in the block actross the road,we had to ask for the milk and the toast whereas butter was denied. There was no person waiting in the area.Scrambled eggs, pancakes were cold.There were no tea bags and water bottles. Again during the lunch, similar situation was observed. However the sauted chicken and rice was very tasty.There were no deserts. The rooms were clean, the safe provided for locking the valubles which was advised by the managment was found non functioning. When asked to provide mineral water in the room, i was told that there is no room service today!!? When asked for a feedback form or complaint book, the reception told that it is not available and I should look for the same in the room. The puctuality of airport drop service was far from perfect and induced anxiety. There were lower rung staff members to answer for all the lacunae. It seems like a good infrastructure left in the hands of rookies with the bosses sitting in some remote high citadels.The hotel is quite avoidable as in the present state.

  Poor Services

  My stay at the Ararat hotel was on account of a layover in Addis and provided by the Airline. The facility must have seen better days and management in the past. Shuttle service from and to the airport was poor. The rooms were clean with minimal furnishing. Meals at the restaurant left very much to be desired, with cold servings, desired items in short supply and no hot water for tea. Very unlikely that I will visit as a paying guest. Smiling staff could not make up for the shortcomings.

  Forced Shuttle 5 hours before flight

  My wife and baby girl are staying there now. They are forcing them to get on a 5am shuttle for her 10am flight. The whole reason she bought this flight was so her and the baby could rest. They woke her up at 11pm to tell her this. Terrible!
