  Ok but nos as expected

  We reserved a room on booking.com, the price was quite high but considering the central position it seemed good. the staff was always kind and the room was clean. However for the price we payed we expected a richer and better displayed breakfast and more toilet equipment. Only soap bars were available. The reception is not located in the main building so when the breakfast is over nobody is available nearby. We had a good experience but the rooms are too expensive for the service provided.

  Get the attic suite

  Unusual hotel in cost Orta. Splendid location on the square and by the boat to Isola DOrta. The attic suite is spectacular with its view and double showers, and the personnel will s friendly. Parking is 200m away, north of the hotel, and expensive as we paid 20 euros for an overnight parking

  A Walking Holiday

  This hotel was the first of three we were to stay in on a walking holiday in the area. The hotel is very well located being proximate to the main square in Orta and thus close to all the 'action'. The downside is that it is so close to the square and the noise from the restaurants and bars goes on until the wee small hours and will undoubtedly restrict your ability to get some sleep. At dawn you are likely to be greeted by the noise of the refuse collectors tipping the previous day's bottles into the dust-cart! Our room was 'tired' and in need of some refurbishment. That said, ignoring the short-comings, we were comfortable and the breakfasts were good.

  The decline of a once glamorous place

  The reception was very kind and solicit. The views are great and the interior design has always been interesting and innovative. Breakfast is OK. The beds were generous and with soft bedlinen. We have been seven years ago and wanted to experience it now with the children There are, though, now serious signs of decline and lack of attention: only half of the illumination works, the curtains easily fall down and one of the floor lamps was so broken (see picture) that it would have ended our holiday in hospital if one of the children would have barefoot stepped into it. These signs of decline irradiate everywhere: in the attitude of the owner, in the quality of the coffee (where you are told that more than one Espresso or Capuccino are to be paid apart) and of the breakfast: seven years ago it was a marvel; now it was just normal. I don't think we'll repeat again.

  Buena ubicación

  El hotel tiene una ubicación privilegiada, en la plaza principal y a 50 metros del muelle. El desayuno esta bien, nada espectacular. La habitación es rara, con la ducha en el medio, y el agua moja el piso del cuarto. El balcón muy lindo, con vista al lago. El estacionamiento privado del hotel está bastante lejos, pero es gratuito.
