Delightful stayAfter getting married in early December we had booked 2 nights at Appleby manor through secret escapes which included B&B + meal on night one. I am not normally one for writing reviews but whilst laying in the heated pool and comparing it to other places we had been ,I just had to. Given the restrictions in place I thought they did a good job. Signage everywhere, a good introduction to the rules when we arrived and they clearly are trying their best to adhere to them. Breakfast was delicious with a table service menu and the option to select from a buffet too. The restaurant had 2 menu options (restaurant/bistro) we tried both and they were excellent. Some fancy type food you would see on masterchef (my wife loved) and simpler options that I really enjoyed. The steak I had was one of those where every mouthful made me say "oh my god that's good" and the service was excellent and staff very friendly. The room was lovely (garden room 32) lovely views, massive bed, large bathroom nd a couple of. Comfy chairs to sit in (or use as clothes racks as I did) Bluetooth speaker enabled connection my phone and so rather than watching TV, we sat drinking champagne enjoying Christmas music and all sorts of our own taste music which was really great. The Spa is amazing. We like to do these trips all the time and make use of the spa. We have been to The Faversham , Llanraeder Springs, Ruthin Castle and many more. This Spa and its facilities beats every single one (in my opinion) the salt room was new to me And felt good. The layout, the ambience everything was fantastic. I am sure that part of this enjoyment was the fact there were only us and 2 other people in there also( COVID I Guess) .The outside hottub was sooo nice as we walked into the freezing cold December air, then dropped into the hot tub. Glorious. We had 2 x massages which both my wife and I said were the best we've had. Mainly because they ensured the firmness was good and changed to our liking.all very professional and well managed. This place is soo good and perfect for a getaway like the one we had.

GuttedI have stayed here three or four times and I was so disappointed the last time, the spa was badly contaminated with chlorine, it was so bad that I ended up at doctors due to an allergic reaction and my costume was damaged. What has upset me the most is how it was dealt with, or rather how it was not dealt with. I rang up to let them know about the damage and no manager was available, someone was supposed to ring back but no one did

Amazing place with the best massagesWe stayed here for partners birthday for one night on 30/12 before they had to close as tier 4 was announced. Lovely grounds, room and spa and received the best back massage Ive had in years. Would definitely like to return in the future if covid ever disappears. We had a lovely 3 course evening meal and lovely cooked breakfast with brilliant service and friendly staff.

Spa Visit - Great Venue - Lovely StaffWe visited the spa before Christmas and really enjoyed our visit. The staff were especially nice. We had a problem which was rectified quickly by Angela who was very kind and understanding. We understand how difficult it has been for hotels recently and accept that the odd problem might crop up. But so long as things are rectified swiftly and appropriately (which was the case for us) we were very satisfied with the service.

2 night DBB dealHad an amazing stay. My girlfriend and I both loved it. Staff nice and helpful. Spa was very relaxing. Both evening meals were lovely (one in restaurant, one in bistro) and the breakfasts were delicious. So good that weve just booked to go back September this year which reminded me to write this review. Cant wait to go back.
