  Awful Apollo,(Jersey) hard working staff

  Were do I start? PROS:Staff are great & hard working. CON:NO HEATED INDOOR POOL even though stated as such,food ok but not brilliant certainly not worth half board prices,hotel does not state that the outdoor pool is open to paying OUTSIDE public to use,the kids scream non stop,if you are expecting a quiet day by poolforget it,it is not safe let alone following any covid social distancing rules.NO MASKS needed as not believed needed in Jersey! We had a sink plug that would not empty,cupboard doors on wrong so the brackets broke,a fan that would not work,we spoke to John the manager who moved us up a grade to pool view room which was bigger.The hotel is tired,never mind that it's an 80s feel to it,it needs alot of work,it's crumbling,the pics in its website look good but realistically it's not and you do feel hard earned money has been wasted!We would not come back

  Lovely hotel with warm and friendly staff.

  My sister, nephew and I recently stayed at Apollo Hotel for 5 days. When we arrived we thought it looked quite dated and were not sure about it however we ended up having the most wonderful time there. The staff are amazing especially Rachel who helped us plan our trip to a T. The facilities are perfect if you are bringing children with you. A lovely indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi and an outdoor pool if the weather is good. The beds are just so cosy too. I would say that although the interior is old fashioned it really doesnt matter once you get in to your stay because its such a lovely little hotel. I cannot comment on the food as we did not eat there but over all I would 100% recommend staying here as Im so pleased I did. You cant go wrong.

  AVOID AT ALL COSTS

  Probably the worst hotel we.ve ever stayed in. Needs refurbishing for starters!! Although the whole place seemed clean, because it was so old it felt grubby (in particular the curtains and pull cords). On a positive note, most of the staff were pleasant (except for two. They will know who they are.)

  Stay Away

  Shabby, in a time warp. Bedroom very hot . TV very small difficult to watch . Food dreadful, no fruit at breakfast, no cheeses and biscuits , no ice cream . Canned music in restaurant awful . Smoking area very poor. Delapidated wooden seat and broken plastic table. No shelter from rain. Alternative ashtray no seats , when questioned , due to Health and safety! Staff unhelpful and unpunctual. Does not deserve one star

  Long weekend

  Stayed for a long weekend. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Christian could not do enough for us when we asked for an early breakfast in our room. Cocktail guy is a perfectionist, they really might be the best cocktails in Jersey. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Yes it does have an old french feel about it but this didnt bother us at all, yes the rooms are hot but you have large windows that can be opened. Location is excellent and for what we paid good value for money. Breakfast isnt the best poor quality coffee and sausage & no pastries or fresh fruit , cheese etc but we never went hungry. Selection of cereals, yogurts preserves and the choice of a cooked breakfast. Would stay here again
