The worst hotel I have ever stayed in!Honestly do not bother wasting your money. We paid £100 through booking.com for a double room. After a long drive we came to the hotel around 1am. It looked very similar to a block of flats. There was lots of people outside reception, drunk, screaming and shouting. We ignored them and went into reception. Night staff were polite and we had no problems from them. Went to our room were we discovered our shower was broken. Phoned reception to ask for a different room or for our shower to be fixed. They told us they would fix it and call us back when they are coming. We decided to try and go sleep. The room was literally made of paper. Zero sound proofing. All night we could hear people screaming, banging on doors and playing music. Around 3am we still could not sleep due to the noise and phoned reception again for an update on fixing the shower. We was told it was a problem with the water pipe and will be fixed in the morning. They told us the new shift staff will be informed and for us to speak to the manager in the morning. Again we attempted to sleep. Until 7am all we could hear was continuous shouting! We got up at 7am after no sleep and desperate to freshen up only to find the shower still not working. Phoned reception again who had no knowledge of the shower being broken (new shift staff) and said we could use a different rooms shower but our shower will not be fixed! We decided to check out and speak to the manager only to be told manager was not in. Front staff was extremely unsympathetic and unapologetic. He gave us an email to send a complaint to but in shortness basically said not his problem! Emailed but as guessed no response! We have stayed on this road before in a hotel literally a few yards down for a fraction of the price and a million times better! Stay well clear if this place!

Like being in a ghettoThis place needs closing down , on arrival it's like driving into a slum block of flats , we were told that we had been given an upgrade free of charge , I dread to think what we would have been offered had this not happened ,the bedding was clean but the showers in all 3 rooms were ice cold and the water from the bathroom sink was brown no matter how much you let it run for , the damp peeling and mouldy walls in the stairwell was unbelievable , 8 ladies were in our group and it's safe to say we will never return , it's an absolute dump . No lifts so anyone with disabilities (we had 2 in our party) were not given an opportunity to have a ground floor. We were give 1st and 2nd floor rooms , avoid at all costs because at no point will you be happy to stay in this slum !!!!

What an excellent hotel , best value for money everAttended with family members for a sporting occasion . What an excellent hotel . Scrumptious breakfast , I was particularly impressed by the toaster effeciency . Other guests were charming: Lively local people around particularly on Saturday night . Ingenious key system and lovely staff. It wasnt hot so we kept the windows shut , reducing risk of unwanted access. Keep it up!

Good valueIt's ok for one night stay and provides clean beds and bathrooms. Plenty of parking. It's a wierd council estate type of building with council estate doors. But for £40 in Birmingham it's kind of the norm

Damp dirty and several rogue hairsOnline the hotel presented a comfortable stay post a family day out in Birmingham. Post checking in and dropping off bags we went out for a bite to eat so never inspected the room. The smell in the hall way down to the rooms was of damp towels. When we returned later that night we saw hairs in the bed a bloody mark on the sink, ripped wall paper which had scribbles on. I mentioned the poor quality on the online survey and to be fair the hotel did offer to move us to another room. However as it was very late and our young son was now in bed, we declined. We got up very early not daring to shower in the bathroom and checked out vowing never to return. I wouldnt normally post anything however the hotel said I would be invited to comment post our stay but they failed to send the option to respond. Due to the cost £80 I am very disappointed. Sorry the pictures dont highlight the smell!
