Good for the moneyI stayed two nights. Location close to the riverfront is handy. The room was clean, bedding fine and the mattress one of the more comfortable ones Ive slept on in Cambodia. Yes, there is no AC or hot water but the fan was adequate and a cool shower was just what I needed after a day out at KK Island. For the money this is in my view a good place to stay.

Aggressive gang of lads on reception, smell in roomsRoom was OK but toilet/drain smell quite strong. Asked to change rooms which was met with extreme rudeness from an alpha-male type boss....didn't seem to like tourists. Quite noisy from nearby nightclub in evenings. I would suggest finding somewhere a little more hospitable while staying in Koh Kong, which is otherwise a nice little town.

AVOID AT ALL COSTIf I could give 0 stars, I would. We travel full time in SE Asia and this is the worst experience ever. Extremely rude manager (or owner), never met anyone as aggressive and petty as this man. He tried to charge way more than the online rates. Total scammer. Plus they follow you all the time to get payment upfront. The matrasses are old fashioned spring coiled, super uncomfortable. The rooms smell of mould. Horrible. Plenty of mosquitos in the room, but no mosquito net or spray. The pool is tiny and lots of guests made huge noice jumping into the pool until 11pm and started again at 6am. No management to intervene. The food portions are tiny and taste bland. AVOID AT ALL COST !! There are bungalows on the beach, that are cheaper and with such friendly owners.

The most disappointing experience in Asia - rated 1 as i could not go lower - BE WARNEDBooking.com stated that the rate was 13 USD per night per room. This includes AC and hot water. When you arrive there, the owner quotes an astronomical amount for a room with AC and hot water and when you tell him booking.com says its less he says the booking.com room is a room with a fan and cold water only. This way they misrepresent themselves and their rates and they have a reason to extort more money from you by forcing you into a more expensive room! We settled on a room with AC and hot water after a conversation of roughly 30 minutes - at a higher rate than booking.com. We were immediately told to pay upfront - which we did as we did not know whether we were going to stay longer than one night - yet again, we complied. Unfortunately, the cold I seem to have contracted a few days prior, forced me to spend the day in bed. The next day my partner went to extend our stay another night as I was still not up to travelling, and she was once again told to pay upfront - which she did. She asked for another toilet roll as I exhausted the one they provided the previous day due to the cold, and she was told NO - only one roll per day! (even though it was the next day). She even ordered food for us from their restaurant as I was not up to going out. This food arrived probably 45 minutes later and was cold. Apart from that the portions were extremely small yet they charged a hefty USD price per meal. We had to share 4 meals to just feel that we ate enough. After eating I hit the bed and was looking forward to sleeping a little later the next morning. At 23h00 (pool closed at 21h00) there were young people jumping in the pool and making a huge noise. We could not fall asleep till after 00h00. The next morning, there was a knock at our door around 9h30am waking us both up. Clearly shocked after waking from my sleep I asked who it was and what they wanted I was told in a very rude manner that he (the owner) wanted to know if we were staying another night or not!! I said we have not decided and will inform them before check-out time (the usual procedure in all hotels I have stayed in during the years). At 11am we were showered and dressed (Luke warm water) and made our way to the reception. On arrival we were immediately asked whether we were staying another night or not. My partner replied in a friendly manner and said YES PLEASE and handed the cash over to the owners brother. After doing so and in a courteous manner I asked the guy whether it was he that knocked on our door earlier and was told that it was his brother the owner. I asked him to please relay the following message to his brother Please tell your brother that I do not appreciate being disturbed and woken up in the morning just so that he can ask me if I am staying longer. He was okay with doing so and I tried to thank him, but before I could finish speaking a shirtless guy walked in behind the counter and rudely told me that it was he that knocked on my door. I repeated my request and told him I did not appreciate being woken up whilst I was sleeping, especially seeing I was still ill. At this point he became exceedingly aggressive and told me that this was HIS HOTEL and that he could do what he wanted and he did as he needed to know. I told him that all hotels I have lived in have all operated on the clear principle that overstaying your check out time, would automatically incur extra costs and you would obviously be required to spend another day at the hotel. This would automatically take place without anyone knocking on your door. He started shouting and told me that I dont like you and took our money that was still lying on the counter in payment for the following nights stay, and slid it back to us saying he doesnt want our money and we must take it and leave! He was very aggressive, insulting and attacking at this point. My partner and I looked at each other in disbelief and realized we had no alternative but to return to the room, pack our stuff and leave. We were now WITHOUT A PLACE TO STAY. They only care about USD - customer care does not feature at all. If you are an old foreigner with a hooker next to you they seem to prefer your patronage.
