  Average Apartment with nice view.

  The apartment itself was fine, clean and tidy. However a few things didn't work such as the plug in the kitchen which was annoying as the kettle had to be used in the middle of the bedroom and only one bedside light worked. Never saw the owner, his dad was around most days but would never say hello or anything. We got no advice on the area, the only interaction with anyone was his father shouting out the wifi code to us as he reversed away down the drive and when I had to ask the cleaner for new towels. Overall apartments were fine but don't go if you are expecting fantastic welcome and hospitality.

  It is all you need!

  It is difficult to start a great review... you want to praise everything!! This is a review that I am very happy to write. Lets start in order: Bol: what an amazing town in the island of Brac. The narrow streets, the houses, the marina, restaurants and the views!!! It was perfect. Also, the people... Croatians were very nice and polite. Bol Apartments Gospojica: What a fantastic location. Some people complained about the distance from the centre, I personally think is perfect. It is on a hill far enough from the hustle and bustle to have a nice quiet sleep even with open windows. To get to the centre is a mere 10 minutes walk, on the way back double it but the walk around the small streets and beautiful houses is enchanting. Besides, you can take a taxi ride and it will cost you around 30kn (we didn't do it but we were told that what it cost). The flat has everything you need, a lovely kitchen with utensils, a clean and nice shower room with toilet and the best view! At night we could see millions of stars from our balcony and how the moon light was touching the sea... it was breathtaking. We were on this trip celebrating our honeymoon. The owner, Hrvoje (althoug he ask us to call him Henry) was a very kind man who knows the island very well and the whole of Croatia knows who he is... a retired professional basketball player, hence is height! What a kind man! He gave us a bottle of red as a gift on our arrival and recommended us where to eat and what to do. If you show the keys from the flat in many places you will get 10% discount. We did scuba diving for the first time thanks to his recommendation! All in all, top marks! Thanks Hrvoje for your kindness and willing to make us feel like home. He was also all the time a mere text message away for questions and help.

  Perfect Break

  We stayed in Gospojica for 5 nights as part of our 10 nights Croatia trip. Can't complain at all. Hrvoje was the perfect host. He picked us up from the bus station and provided us with countless tips and recommendations for our trip. He's a man in the know too! His contacts will get you 10% off a couple of local restaurants, really good ones too! Also he provided us with bikes if we needed them. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk from the front and a 30 minute walk to the zlatni rat beach. Our only complaint was that our outdoor balcony light didn't work and although we asked Hrvoje and he said he'd fix it the next day it was never fixed. Small complaint though on an otherwise very pleasant stay! Nice and quiet and a pool also if you don't fancy walking to the beach.

  Far exceeded expectations!

  We were not sure how easy it was going to be considering location as we'd read some had felt it was a bit too far out however it was actually perfect. Great views, 10 min walk into town and 20 to zlatni rat, supermarket just up the road. It is hilly but wasn't an issue as the distance is short. The owner was amazing!! He picked us up from the port and gave us an extra room as there was one empty, plus lots of advice on restaurants. It was great to have a pool and our rooms were spacious and well equipped. Bol is a lovely place, especially if you're just looking for a relaxing break.

  5 night stay

  It was a nice start to the holiday having the host pick my boyfriend and I up from the ferry port. He was very friendly and took the time to tell us where everything was and where was good to shop / eat. The food shops nearby were ok, a bit small but equipped with the basics. The hotel itself was on a massive hill which absolutely kills your legs but it's nice and quiet. The pool is ok, no one really sat by it so it was nice to have a little dip after the walk back from the beach. The main beach - Zlatni Rat is approximately 20-25 min walk, which is quite demanding when you're doing the walk there and back every day in the blazing heat like we were. But nevertheless the beach is nice and probably worth it. The kitchen space was ideal to cook in and the rooms were ok, but not as nice or as spacious as what it looked like on pictures. However, the outside terrace part looked just like the pictures, which was lovely. The shower was barely luke warm all week but that's not really much of an issue when it's hot outside. It may be more of an issue if it was cold outside. There's a few restaurants to eat at nearby, some of which you get discount at due to being a guest here, which was the best part about staying here. The Mendula restaurant was brilliant, very reasonable price for a steak if that's what you fancy! The hotels location was also ideal as it's only a 10 minute walk to the ferry port and local town. However, we ordered pizza quite a lot from the pizzeria nearby. The leaflet was supplied by the host. You can get massive take away pizzas at a reasonable cost!
