Convenient and FriendlyPlease remember that everything is relative: a hotel at the end of the Earth in Croatia must be compared to its peers... True to nature, we arrive without reservations, planing to stay at what TripAdvisor travelers think is the number one hotel in Baska Voda, Hotel Croatia, only to find it fully booked. Second week of September is after the end of the high-season, but the weather is still very hot and the beaches are full with sun-worshipers. Both the Tourist Information Center and the adjacent Travel Agency claim that they do not do this, i.e. they have no knowledge of what hotels are available...Another example of how little Croatians know about the tourist trade... Randomly, we check a couple of places and find a room in the Palace Hotel. I take a quick look at the TripAdvisor reviews and the room and having found both satisfactory, we decide to stay. We get a quiet side-street room on the top floor, large, with separate seating area, kitchenette (not that we plan to cook, but it was the only available), large TV, fast Internet, clean and air-conditioned. Kuna 420 (about $65) The hotel is right in the middle of town, a long walk by the water lined with palm trees is a fringe benefit. And you cannot beat the views at sunset. I only wish we had picked a different place for dinner: the one we chose, King restaurant, was a disappointment (separate review).

Perfect GetawaySmall Beach Town that has everything you can need including New Friends. The staff here was incredibly helpful with guiding us to a mechanic in town, fresh cooking us breakfast everyday (included in our room price), upgrading our room because they had a larger room without a guest. Regular and Separate bedroom set ups are both Large & well laid out for functionality. The bar down stairs is a bit small, but great way to meet some new people while enjoying a reasonable priced drink. A bit cold in the winter with tile floors in the room, but that is typical of coastal towns in this region. Furniture is a little outdated, so it could have more comfort. We recommend this stay though because our experience was wonderful! Such a welcoming environment to get the chance to relax in.

Great locationStayed for 1 week i July 2016 with a friend. Great location, OK simple breakfast - dinner is not the best though but as Baska Voda is quite a small village there are many options very close. The room standard is quite simple, but it was clean, and you get fresh towels every day. No noice from street, good aircon and helpful staff.

Very accommodating, great place to stayThe people here made sure our stay was comfortable right off the bat by providing an extra heater as it was freezing and the storage heaters weren't hot enough for me. The main room of the apartment was big with lots of space. I think this was the best room as it overlooked the street and had a balcony. The breakfast here was great and even though we were the only ones staying the effort was still put in to provide a cooked breakfast, a selection of meats, cheese and breads. The location was good right in the middle of baska voda. Would also recommend the milenij hotel which served great food at good prices, the Croatian salad, cutlets and grilled meat platter to share were excellent. Markarska is a short bus ride away (bus stop across the road) which is worth a visit for a change of scenery. Couldn't fault this place at all.

Nice hotel with one bad room! The location is perfect, as well as the waiters and staff in general who were very nice, yet discreet. The buffet for breakfast was always the same (scrambled eggs, sausages, cold cuts, cheese, cream cheese, jam, cereals, fruit) but very fresh and tasty. Bread was amazing! The only downside is the room 10 (Prague) which is small, narrow, situated on the last floor without balcony and with the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. The TV was placed near the bathroom so it could barely be seen from the bed. They need to do something with that room, it is one of the worst rooms I have ever been to, and I have had a fair share of awful rooms in my life.
