No volvería, me siento engañado.

Great Hotel - Keep an open mind

After having read mixed reviews about this hotel (and the past dealings of Travel Republic and OpenTravel services - the agent) I was more than concerned that we were going to get moved on the last minute. But it didn't happen and my worries were unfounded. When we arrived at the hotel first impressions were really good. It was spotlessly clean, with welcoming reception staff. Then we spotted something, all of the notices were in German (even the flag flying outside was German). With 4 teenagers and a 21 year-old in tow that rang alarm bells, and we became worried that they weren't going to enjoy this holiday. On entering the apartments, they were spotless, well equipped (apart from no kettle) and really comfortable. The hotel pool area was great, the All Inclusive maybe not quite as flexible as we've experienced in the past with companies like First Choice, but acceptable all the same, and if you want to purchase a high quality bottle of Cava (Friexenet Barrocca), you get it half price (10 Euro) as an All Inclusive client. As you can imagine, being a German hotel the food in the restaurant was geared to German clientele, but we never had a meal where we couldn't find something that we could eat, and most of the food was of a high quality. If you don't want to eat a lunchtime meal in the restaurant, you have the choice of having salad from the poolside bar instead. The staff behind the bar and in the restaurant were really friendly, albeit a bit bemused about this English family staying at the hotel. The evening Entertainment left a lot to be desired. It was run entirely by the All Tours travel company who had exclusive (almost!) use of the hotel. OK, yes it was in German, but it was quite poor too. But fair credit to the All Tours staff, they were friendly (especially Hannah, a young lady from Croatia who spoke 5 languages!), and involved our kids in all of the activities, both day and night. We thought the kids would hate it, but you know what, they made more friends than they have ever done before and there were many tears yesterday (both from them and their friends) when we had to come home. Our opinion of sharing a hotel with the German people has completely changed, and we had a great time mixing with them. So all-in-all, a great hotel with great facilities and nice food, and not far from the shops and restaurants/bars of the resort.

Nice Hotel but not without some problems

The hotel is generally very clean. The staff are friendly and the surrounding town is quite pleasant. Not too far from the town or the beach (maybe 10-15 minutes walk). Overall we had an enjoyable holiday and I would recommend this to German families. However, for the English, I would read below and consider if this works for you. All Inclusive - the food is OK. You never leave the restaurant feeling like you have had a really good meal, but you never leave hungry either. We actually left the hotel for meals on a couple of nights to have something a little nicer. There are many reasonably priced and good quality restaurants close by. If you like chips you will be fine as these are served at every meal including breakfast (there are a few other choices also). The juices are quite poor, tasting like they are 90% sugar! OK, maybe an exaggeration, but really very sweet. All food is labelled in Spanish and German only. So if you don't speak either I suggest doing a little research before you come. There is a notice saying you can wear long shorts for dinner, but I also wore a sleeveless shirt due to the extreme heat and was almost declined entry (as women walked passed me wearing bikini style tops!). Normally of course a short sleeved top is an expectation, but it really was very hot. All entertainment is in German. All noticeboards are in German. The staff speaks German, although a few also speak English. We live in Germany and for us, this was OK but not great (our German is not perfect). We met some other English families that were really frustrated and actually quite unhappy about this. There is a lift but we found this to be quite unreliable and several times it was out of order. So theoretically suitable for disabled, but I would think carefully if the lift is an essential thing for you. For German families I think the hotel would be a big hit. However I think the hotel needs to reconsider a lot of things if it really wants to appeal to more than German customers.

Not got what I paid for!!

Booked an all inclusive holiday for me, my husband, and our two sons! We arrived to the hotel at about 12:30am and when we booked the holiday sun master said that the hotel would upgrade our room to a superior room when we arrive, we printed all the paper work for proof and we showed the receptionist which then he said they only tell people that but it never happens he then informed us that there was a food Hall open, we went down and my husband was the only one who ate as he was starving(like the rest of us) abut we didnt know what any of it was, we then went to bed as normal. My son who is 63 had to sleep on a sofa bed where his feet hung over the edge, we booked the holiday for ONE child and THREE adults! We were at least expecting a proper bed for him! We got up the next morning and went down to the restaurant, we were then informed by one of the staff that the hotel was a 99.9% German hotel and we were the only English people there, this didnt cause any problems for us, but sun master did not inform us one bit!! We sat down and looked at the buffet which was all German and didnt have one bit of English! Normally you could look at photos and work it out but there was NO photos anywhere! We didnt eat much in the hotel due to the fact that we didnt know what we were eating and Most of the staff were limited to the amount of English they spoke so we couldnt even have any help! We had to eat out for 4/5 times during the holiday! On the third night in we decided to eat in as it was costing so much to eat out all the time and after all we did book an all inclusive holiday, we picked our food and my eldest son had chose what looked like onion rings, then to bite into it and it was calamari rings which was not stated, and he is ALLERGIC to seafood! Luckily he spat it straight out otherwise it couldve been a lot worse!! My youngest son who is 12, came back over with just Chips due to the fact that we couldnt risk him eating things that werent labelled! My husband on the first day decided to go speak to the rep and get our youngest boy into a kids club to then be informed in not so many words that they will try but it was catered for German children, my son then said I feel like the odd one out and he didnt want to go! he then asked about family activities and due to them not speaking English they didnt understand and the man sat down and ignored my husband! On another night I had sat down and said to my family about going down for food but my youngest son refused to go down for tea as he had enough of eating just CHIPS! So then me as his mum approached the restaurant manager about the food not being suitable to my childs needs and I asked him why dont you cater for us and he replied we dont cater for you! This is absolutely vile!! I had paid so much for the holiday!!!!! Yet again we had to go out and spend money on food! On the last night just before we were leaving we went down to reception to hand in our key and get our passports back, we then were charged with a 59.40 departure fee, which was not EXPECTED in and ALL INCLUSIVE holiday and No way was this explained to us!! I had English money on me due to the fact that I spent all my euros in the end as I had to spend so much on food, then I had to put it on my card, overall the stay was horrific, we felt out of place and did not get what we paid for!! Over £2,500 we had to pay for this holiday and it was only 4 of us!! Not happy One bit! Holiday from hell, first family holiday experience absolutely ruined!!!! Shameful on sunmaster for not explaining the finer details to me! Why book an English family into a German hotel.
