Nice HolidayWe stayed here as a group of 5. 4 adults, 1 teenager. Our apartment was in block E and we booked on booking.com through Oc villas. We arrived late at night at Almost midnight and had difficulty getting into the apartment as the code I was given to release the key was incorrect. Finally got through to speak to someone and then the door itself was quite tricky to open. As already mentioned it was late at night there was no welcome pack, no water, even just a few biscuits would have been good or some take away delivery menus. So we all decided to go to bed hungry and head out following am for brekkie. No need for an alarm as we were all woken up to a load of banging and clattering and shouting. Opened up shutters to find men putting up scaffolding!! I asked Oc villas would this be going on for the entire week they said they had no idea! No apology no offer to try and find out so this was disappointing. The apartment itself was lovely double bed, in one room, bunk beds in another (no A/c in this room so it was quite stuffy at times) and double sofa bed in kitchen/sitting room. Pool view from balcony. Very well equipped and had a fabulous shower. I wouldnt recommend this place if you like to have lots of fun at the pool; there is a kids pool that they do seem to allow some lilos but there isnt any allowed in the bigger pool. No balls allowed whatsoever, no jumping around etc. These are private apartments so there is no reception/bar area. Location is great Town and beach is 10-15 minute walk down hill, steep walk back up taxis ranged from 6.50-10(for a large taxi). Very secure place with gates and security guard.

Family holidayStayed in a 2 bed apartment in Encosta da orada complex. Fabulous apartment. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen and a very spacious living area with lovely views and sunsets. About a 15 min walk (downhill) to the Old town area. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place and very clean!Stayed here in September 2019 with my husband as a last minute get away. Literally booked it 7 days before travelling on booking.com and thought we got a pretty good deal! We booked a one bedroom superior apartment and everything was dealt with via the chat on the booking.com app which is very easy to use by the way! Any questions we had were responded to very quickly on there. We had to pay the whole amount upfront via credit card payment which was to be expected and then we were sent instructions on how to access keys once we arrived. We arrived around 11am and managed to get the front gate keys out of the key box located at the front of the property and got inside. We had a few issues locating our room but that was down to us being so tired from the early flight! Gabriella who owned our apartment was on site to help us out right away. She took us to our apartment, block F room D where cleaners where getting it ready for us. We left our suitcase and she said she would be in touch to let us know when the room was ready. We headed into the old town for some lunch and around 2.30pm she messaged me to say our room was ready which was brilliant. The apartment itself was gorgeous, absolutely massive for the 2 of us. It had one bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, safe and tv. The kitchen was huge, all well equipped with a dining table. The living room was even bigger with another dining table and we had two very large balconies with table and chairs, one even had a hammock on! It was all so clean and modern, it was just perfect. The are two pools, one at the top which is very shallow, assume its for children but there were no kids around when we stayed. And a pool at the bottom which is much deeper. Both were freezing so didnt really use them much! There were always plenty of sun beds around too. It was very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing and chilling in the sun. The apartment is all gated so you feel perfectly safe. Didnt have any issues the whole time we were there. The only thing we didnt really compensate for was the walk into the old town and back up. Me and my husband are reasonably fit people, we go to the gym 4 times a week and even we found it a struggle. The walk down takes roughly 15 minutes but can be steep in parts and the pavements are all cobbled so be careful. I took heels with me to wear of a night, what a mistake that was! The walk back up was exhausting in the heat, a good work out though! Im not sure how children or the elderly would manage this as it was tough. However Gabriella informed us about Uber. We use it so much at home and it didnt even cross my mind that Albufeira would have Uber! So easy to use, make sure you download the app before you go. Every night we ordered an Uber to pick us up from the apartment and take us into the old town then ordered one back to take us home at the end of the night. Very quick, each one arrived within 5 minutes and very cheap too! Cost around 3 each journey which when I checked my online banking, came out at roughly £2.30 per journey. Much cheaper than the local taxis so definitely worth doing to save your feet on the steep hills! The Uber drivers were able to recommend some lovely restaurants to us as well (all in the old town). Flavours is a steak house looking over the beach, amazing quality and price! Mi Sombrero Mexican restaurant was our favourite, a few doors down from Flavours and did the most amazing nachos and fajitas! Highly recommend. We were also advised to visit Urban Pizzeria just off the square which did amazing pizzas and burgers. The old town has a lot going on, lots of street acts, bars, restaurants, shops and even a mini type of strip where you can find live bands performing outside and inside. It had a brilliant atmosphere although drinks a little more expensive here (10 for a pink gin and lemonade in the Vegas bar). But the singers were all brilliant, we had some really good nights down here! Gabriella also recommended an excursion to us. We walked down to the marina from our apartment which again is one hell of a walk! But definitely worth visiting, all brightly coloured buildings with more bars and restaurants. We went on the sunset beach bbq where we left on a boat from the marina around 5.30pm which took us to a secluded beach near Portimao. Once we arrived we had a beach bbq where all towels where laid out for us and watched the sun go down whilst eating a delicious bbq and drinking unlimited beer, wine and sangria! There was even a saxophonist which was amazing! We were just gutted we werent on the beach long enough before having to get back on the boat and head back to Albufeira. It was a good trip and cost around 60 per person. The nearest supermarket was Intermarché which was a 10 minute walk downhill but again a nightmare getting back up with bottles of water and supplies! Definitely recommend if youre looking to stay in Albufeira. A lot of the locals we spoke to advised us not to go to the new town as its known where there is a one mole strip full of clubs and bars. They advised us it was full of 17/18 year olds and we wouldnt enjoy it. We actually went there 12 years ago when we were only 18 ourselves and loved it but the old town suited us much more now! We had such a lovely and relaxing holiday and really love Albufeira and its beaches, just beautiful! Highly recommend these apartments, just make sure you use Uber once you are there and youre sorted!

Apartment block G. 1cJust had a fabulous 2 week stay in Alan & Barbara apartment in this building. The view from the apartment was perfection. Everything you need for a home from home was in the apt. Great TV channels if you needed. Quiet area but within 5/8 mins walk and your in the old town. Pool was large and great, plenty beds and never busy. Had a wonderful time staying here and would certainly recommend this to anyone thinking of booking.
