Old but well maintained hotel, free shuttle, onsen, good location, good English

Loved the free shuttle to Makomanai (am service) and Hosui Susukino (pm service); Also near bus stop for lines 7 & 8 to Sapporo City, and 96 to Makomanai station; Approximately 15 mins away from the other APA Hotel in Hosui Susukino area. From Saporo by bus is about 45 mins. Near a grocery for fresh fruits and sushi trays (really cheap), Daiso store, Yamada store (tax free available); Onsen is a plus; Provided Shiseido bath products, complete toiletry accessories and bath robes; Staff very friendly and speak good English; Also near a beef grill, ramen house, sushi place and Mos Burger (right side when you get out of the hotel When queuing for bus, make sure to hold your spot. Some cut the line (shame). Wish they issue number cards so you're sure you have a seat. Bus can only accommodate 28 passengers in one go. Very convenient airport limousine bus waits every 30 mins or so. Cheaper to take this bus than taking the train or taxi; takes 80 mins to Chitose. Will stay again.

    Basic with poor wifi

2 single beds as no queen bed rooms are available. Toilet is very tiny with traditional bath tub. Hotel doesn't change bed sheets and pillow cases even with 7 day stay. Towels are changed daily though and 2 bottles of mineral water are provided. Hotel has no gym though an onsen is available free of charge. Hotel runs free hourly shuttle buses in mornings only to Makomanai station (which connects to Sapporo city) and Susukino station only in evenings. Bus is small so do be at lobby ahead of time as queue can be long. In other times take local buses or walk. Quiet area though a few supermarkets and small restaurants are available. No shopping. Hotel is full of noisy PRCs.

    Surprisingly good

First of all, this APA resort is extremely remote from downtown. I was at Toyohirakoen to watch the World Cup volleyball these 2 days and was struggling how to get to the APA hotel & resort in Sapporo. Google told me about a one and half an hour journey with two subway lines and one bus, and a 27 mins walk to there....Oh my god, thats a pity at the beginning I felt to book this resort. However thats not true with luck and awesome arrangement from this property. Upon finishing the match I used the Tohu line to reach Hosuisusukino station after 2 stops. There are lots of exits at this station and luckily the exit I went out is next to the another APP hotel Sapporo Suisukino Ekimae. My gut feeling is that I should be able to find out with more information, as trip advisor told me a free shuttle bus from this station. Very lucky. Staff at this hotel just pointed me where to get on this free shuttle within a second. The bus stop is just at this hotel entrance at the back. The free shuttle bus runs for every 30 mins. Without an hour I could reach the resort easily with any hassle. Great hotel. Great service. Nice running park as well.

    Absolutely adequate

Stayed 5 nights in late September 2019 (during the Rugby World Cup) I can make no complaint about the hotel - room was small, but appropriate to the price; likewise for cleanliness and service. I would make two observations for any potential visitors: 1) The location is not ideal if you are looking to explore the city without either payinfg for taxis daily, or spending some time travelling. - The bus ride to city centre is approx 40mins - Nearest subway station is a fair walk (through a lovely park) and equates to around the same time. That being said, it is very quiet in the evenings, so disturbed sleep is not a concern. 2) As a tattooed man, I was not able to use the on-site baths (no complaint from me - I was well aware of this when I booked) but those baths are perhaps and ideal draw for those that can use them. Perhaps this hotel is an ideal one-or-two-night stop for anyone looking for a break on a longer trip. The buffets for both breakfast and dinner are exceptional, especially the dinner - I was initially surprised by the 26000 yen price, but it is absolutely worth more than that, provided you enjoy Japanese food, or are willing to try. There was a little difficulty with language at the front desk (did not have the English-speaking level that was advertised) but that did not cause me any trouble - and I say that it is only polite to learn a little Japanese if you are visiting. A solid 3/5, would possibly have been higher if I had visited for a different purpose.

    Nice

A big hotel, with a lot of tourists. Staffs was a bit cool, no welcoming. I booked for a single room, it was a bit small but it's ok. Onsen was nice, many shops around the area. A bit far from city, but it is ok.
