    Buen hotel buena zona

Nice clean hotel but a bit far

We stayed at APA hotel nishi azabu in October 2018 and got the small double room (it was the cheapest deal). It's a nice clean hotel. It's small, which is expected. Great location. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Hiro station. It is also about a 15 minute WALK to Roppongi!!!! 5 minute walk away to 7 eleven convenience store. This hotel is far enough from the busy area so that it's nice and quite at night. But it's also within walking distance to great restaurants in Roppongi. The hotel has a French bakery on the ground floor, the baked goods look delicious, but quiet expensive. The way the bed is situated, you'd have to jump over each other to get off the bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Not really a hassle for us, but might be a hassle for those of you who are light-sleepers. We luckily got a corner room, and bright windows on 2 sides, and had a view of the city! There are plenty of USB plugs right by the bed, and also a couple of electric plugs for your chargers. There's a vending machine on our floor, just in case you really wanted something to drink. We usually opted to walk to the convenience store, though, because it's way cheaper than the vending machine. You'll see from our pictures how we situated our backpack and carry on luggage (we only brought 1 travel pack and 1 carry on suit case for our 2 week trip). We had to place the backpack on the table, and the suit case at the corner of the room. Even with 2 small suit cases, it was a very tight fit, but it was totally manageable for us.

Decent Hotel, Great Price and Location

The room is "compact" but clean, well organised and sufficient for a single person. It's the smallest hotel room I've slept in but it worked! The bed was comfortable, the desk is small but useable, flat screen tv which you can pay for with a transit card (nothing in English, though), a tea kettle and the usual toilet accessories are provided. I only had a carry-on bag - anything larger might have presented a space problem. The check-in is annoying but the price is great. This is an expensive area and there are many pricey restaurants nearby as well as Rappongi.

    Vacation

Terrible hotel- be aware for $110 US this was my experience- no heat or a/c throughout the entire hotel, had hot water in the shower for a few seconds and then quickly ran out, tea kettle didnt work, they promised to bring a fan as the room was so hot and it never arrived after several requests- I had to open the window and the street noise was so bad I didnt sleep. Find another hotel as anything has to be better than this- the bathtub is so small your knees come up to your face - room is very small but I could handle that- all the rest made it unbearable -

Excellent Deal when staying near Embassies or Roppongi

((++)) Check in/out easy. Staff friendly. ---- Room was nice & simple (liked), but not poor. Room was very clean. Spacious enough for one person (with 1 kid). Bed large enough for 1 parent and 1 kid. Excellent mattress yielding good sleep. Good cushions. Nice TV (free, BS258 Disney Channel in ENG). Free WiFi. Window could be opened to let fresh air in. Nice to have a water heater and coffee/green tea available. ---- Nice simple clean bathroom with useful amenities. ---- Nice policy of eco-cleaning (i.e., skip cleaning the room for up to 3 days) with a water bottle for each day cleaning is omitted and fresh towels in front of your door. ---- Good Italian restaurant around the corner. Indian restaurant next door. 7/11 across the street. ((--)) Too narrow space between desk and bed in the main room. ---- Coffee/Tea not replaced on a daily basis. ---- Shower makes a lot of noise when warm water is turned on. If too much hot water is flowing (to get rid of the noise), danger of burning your feet when you adjust the mix warm/cold before activating the shower head. Toilet seat a bit too small. ---- Outside in the hall ways, the carpet seems old. Carpet in the elevators seems very used (understandably). Maybe tiles in elevators would be good.
