Covenient. Also good car hireThis hotel does not have a restaurant - just B & B. That said, it provides a good base being near the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants. Three of us stayed here for a week quite happily. Our room was clean but a bit small and we partly needed to live out of suitcases as there was some hanging space but only one drawer between us. Some staff did not speak much English but all seemed helpful. Car hire is good. The hotel owns its own cars and is quite competative. Whilst one reviewer complains about the breakfasts, we thought them OK, just a slghtly narrower range of food than you sometimes find. The new airport has just been opened, which is outside the town, so getting to the hotel is now a longer bus ride or more expensive taxi ride than it used to be

Decent breakfast and cozy roomsAs with all japanese hotels, this room was cozy and packed. There was no dresser or chairs in it. However, the location was right next to the pier where you can get ferries to neighbouring islands for a day trip. The check-in time was pretty late at 1500. The staff was not very friendly or flexible with our arrival time so we had to sit in the car at the carpark for an hour. Parking is free. There was free breakfast and it was pretty decent. It has rice, miso, soup, some vegetables, fish, eggs, coffee and a few varieties of bread. We had asked for a double bed but was given twin beds. However, the bed was comfortable and the TV was very appropriately placed unlike many hotels. I would recommend this place, nonetheless.

Very small rooms and smokingWe stayed there due to typhoon alert on our island. Hence it was not planned and we were lucky to find a room. What we managed to get was a small double room where it was hard for two people to move around. Bed was fine, AC in room and the room was clean. Location is good too - enough shopping around, the market, the port and the bus station are 5mins away. The staff is nice and invisible. We had to stay on a smoking floor and it smelled horribly - strongly recommend a non smoking floor. Overall, not the holiday type of hotel, but good enough stop over - one can go explore the beaches on Ishigaki from there.

Extremely Small Rooms, Crowded Breakfast!I stayed for about a week while attending a conference at the ANA resort, the hotel itself is at a good location close to the city center but the room was incredibly small with a very low sealing so much so that it felt claustrophobic. The breakfast area was very crowded early mornings. On the other hand the hotel is very reasonably priced and the staff was very helpful and helped us hire a car and gave us good advice about sightseeing and other activities on the island.

Overpriced for no serviceFar too small rooms, ridiculously small toilet room, stingy electrical system need to take out room card from slot to turn off central room light but then AC would be off too during night!? Double twin room is absurdly small. Not to be recommended, stayed just because typhoon alert. Absolutely overpriced for no service. Location is ok but has no views, just to parking area.
