  Teníamos una reserva en este hotel que tuvimos que cancelar por motivos de salud con poco tiempo de antelación. Obtuvimos una respuesta muy amable por parte de Valentina, así que queremos dejar constància de nuestro agradecimiento. Esperamos visitar el hotel en un tiempo no muy lejano.

  Amazing Views

  We have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Antico Verbano. We arrived late on the Monday and although reception was closed our keys were in an envelope with our name on at the desk so it was no problem. We werent actually located at the hotel but at the Villa Greta which is located 1km down the road. It is accessible through an electric gate so we had our own allocated parking which was great. Unfortunately our parking spot had a pile of gravel in front of it where works were currently undertaken so we couldnt park there but the villa wasnt full so we were able to pinch someone elses spot. Lovely villa, we had the pool to ourselves as we were the only guests for 3 out of our 5 days and it was perfect. Quiet with stunning views of the lake. The down inside is the location. You cannot walk anywhere and its situated on a main road. If you want to go anywhere you have to take a car. Had we not hired a car from the airport we would have had no way to get to Villa Greta from the main Antico Verbano hotel as we would have sent any taxi away upon our arrival, not knowing we were to be accommodated elsewhere. Getting in and out of the car park at Villa Greta is interesting and you can take you life in your hands a little! Our apartment was clean and had all amenities. No air conditioning though. We didnt need it in May but I wonder if you stayed there in August whether it would be comfortable....? Also, had we had young children I would have been on my toes as although access to the beach and boating yard was gated it was easy to open so parents with curious youngsters beware. Meina itself didnt have a great deal and we ended up travelling out each day to Stresa or Beveno to eat. Definitely recommend the boat trips out to the Borromean Islands, they are beautiful and depart regularly from Stresa. Parking at the main hotel is an issue. It was always busy and if we needed to drop in for anything my husband had to drop me off and wait as there was never a space. The summer I imagine is probably a nightmare if May is anything to go by. All in all we had a lovely time and the views from our apartment were stunning, absolutely beautiful. We were spoilt by having a few days there to ourselves but it did get a little noisy when other guests arrived and there werent a huge number of sun beds so you need to pick your spot. The only downside for me was the location and the fact you couldnt walk anywhere from the apartment, otherwise it was perfect!!

  Beautiful location on Lake Maggiore

  Excellent accommodation and family friendly right on the lake. Rooms spacious and well laid out, and the restaurant and bistro offer flexibility. Staff friendly and welcoming and ample parking. Easy to get to other destinations on the lake.

  Going to be honest I dodnt stay here just had dinner at the restaurant. And WOW ! Beautiful food, it was some of the best I've had in a very long time ! Highly recommend to anyone. Service was fantastic and the place was incredibly clean.

  Amazing view

  We went for a short weekend to stay there! We had a very big room with a small kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies with direct view on the lake! The room was clean, service was good and we even tried the restaurant in the hotel which is really convenient as you can take your food to your room and they take the plates back (there is also a dishwasher). Overall very happy with the stay for a reasonable price!
