if you like marche, don't go thereif you like comfortable old houses, that is not the place. rooms are difficult to reach (mind the steps, mind the head), dark. bathroom is very small. furniture are a strange mix of country house an good hotel, but in the meantime they try to decide which one, budget was over. so, they trought something just in time to open. if you are looking for ordinary and overpriced cousine, tha't is the place. if you like more to listen pop music and advertising instead of crickets or, silmpy, the wonderful silence of country, tha't is the place. we have to wait the owner wake up (till half past nine) to fix our bill there are hundred of better accomodation in that area, trust on us

1st time in ItalyMy brother in law persuaded me to go to Italy and spec Antico Borgo. So I did and it was a good decision I made to follow him in that trip. The owners are 2 super friendly people and we had a good time. The food Fabrizio made in his kitchen was perfect and from a certain level. Every day it was different and the breakfast was delicious with fresh scrambled eggs. We had the chance to drink some good wine from his collection. Believe me he has a good selection of wines. The bedroom was every day clean with a fresh made bed we loved. We had a good time and are defiantly coming back Fabrizio and Samira.

Beyond our best expectationsWhen we wanted to return to the Le Marche region I looked at TA but also Guide Michelin and chose Antico Borgo as a starting location for 2 weeks. It was so good that we ditched our ending location for a blessed return to this fabulous place. It is a restored farmhouse complex and each of the 6 rooms differ. They all offer considerable value but some (2 & 3) are better than others. The property is located on a hill that overlooks endless fields of sunflowers, pastures and grapevines.... really spectacular. There is a lovely pool though that was a bit cold for late September. Castiglione Arcevia is one of several beautiful fortified villages of Arcevia and taking country walks through its paths is a joy. All of this is very, very good but does not match the hospitality of Fabrizio and Samira. Fabrizio is a Belgian-Italian... not a shabby combination for food. They are a joy to be with and lots of fun. Then there is Fabrizio's cooking, he prepares different menus every night (half-board is 25 euros per person!) and they are simply fantastic. Add a great Verdichio or Conero local wine from a great wine list that is painfully inexpensive and what else can you ask for? We cannot wait to return !

WeddingThe wedding setting and amazing food provided by Fabrizio was the best! From the appetizers to the multicourse wedding dinner to the dessert bar, fireworks and hot air balloons - everything was phenomenal! Then the next day we went to Antico Borgo for brunch - very good! He is the greatest!

what a great supriseWe book at Antico Borgo based on very little information. We love Marche, I saw the proximity to Frasassi grottos, and I like the conversation with the host. What i found was a little treasure. The owners (Fabrizio and Samira) are delightful. This is an old farmhouse charmingly refurbished to become a rustic B&B with all conveniences including AC and swimming pool, in the gentle and green hills of Marche. The pleasant surprises kept on coming as we discovered that Samira is a fantastic hostess and Fabrizio is a very talented chef, whose work has been recognized internationally. We enjoyed two of the best dinners we have had in recent years. Fabrizio adds flare and imagination to traditional Italian dishes, using only the best ingredients (his pistacchio are flown in from Sicily. his beef comes directly from a farm in Piedmont). Being "foodies", this was for us the perfect icing on an already beautiful cake. We highly recommend Antico borgo to anyone looking for an authentic "agritourism" experience at its best.
