  A Hidden Gem

  This is my first time to Odessa, and after reading the less than perfect reviews of many other hotels like the Continental, Otrada, and Londonskaya, I decided to go with a less expensive option. I selected the Annabelle Hotel, even though there was no reviews on TripAdvisor because of its price, description and perfect location. I am glad I did. The location of this hotel could not be more perfect! It's right in the middle of everything and could not have been better. The rooms were nice, and so were the staff at the front desk. The hotel and rooms are new. Bath robes are provided. The only negative was the fact that wireless internet did not work in the rooms that were on the 2nd. floor. However, there are cafes all over, and those all offered free wireless internet. My favorite cafe / restaurant is the Compote right around the corner from the hotel.

  Service of the staff was triple excellent. Really good level for Ukraine I would say. One thing disappointed me was dirty sheets. Also the neighborhood was kind of weird. There were dozens of school-aged kids hanging around drinking beer. Not the best place to walk every day I think. Overall it's ok to stay here if you are not that picky or didn't find anything better. But next time I would consider looking for another option first than booking this hotel right away.

  Perfect location and value for money

  The hotel - or to be precise minihotel - is located in the very heart of Odessa, a few metres from Vulytsia Derybasivska (pedestrian walkway) with shops, cafes, restaurants (incl. MC Donalds and Puzata Chata - a local chain), department stores etc. Although situted in the city centre, it lies in a closed courtyard and is pretty quiet at night as well as during the day. The girl at the reception desk didn´t speak English much but smiled and tried to help and explain everything I needed. Smooth check-in, payment by card. The room was not much large but big enough for one or two people and had everything I wanted. - quite a big bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin (basic toiletries and towels provided). Although it was quite cold outside, the room was heated well. Two large wardrobes and mirrors, air-conditioning, a small flat-screen TV. Multiple lights and sockets. A few minutes´walk to the Opera House or Potemkin Staircase, several marshrutka stops in the surroundings. If ever back in Odessa, I will definitely chose this accommodation.
