  Not our cup of tea....

  We admittedly chose the hotel for it's location to our family in Hollister, but honestly, thought seriously about changing hotels to something less convenient. The staff were friendly and professional, but the room was subpar. We had a suite (which was just a bigger room, with the same amount of furniture). The couch was dirty and super uncomfortable, the air conditioners - while they worked all night - were noisy. The A/C was also smelly. I fortunately brought lysol spray and clorox wipes. The lysol spray did nothing to quench to odor. And for those who this matter to, Hollister is not under a mask mandate (unlike Branson). That is no fault of the hotels, but we honestly never felt comfortable.

  Convenient location

  Very impressed with this hotel. Great location to easily get off and on Hwy 65. Room and staff all great. Stayed in a King suite, very comfortable and roomy. Due to Covid we did carry out and Door Dash for dinners. Having the couch and tray in addition to the desk made eating in the room very easy.

  Beautiful new hotel

  We have stayed at many La Quintas across the country. This one ranks right up there, with all of them. Our room was very clean, and nice. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was laid out just as they are in others. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, and no fault of their own, there was no big breakfast being served. They did provide coffee and a bagged breakfast every morning, which was sufficient. Now here comes the draw back. My wife and I have always chosen La Quintas to stay at, due to their pet friendly policy. We have a small dog (10 lbs) named Stormy Weather. And we take her on all our trips. When we booked the room over the phone, I called directly to the hotel in Hollister, MO. I did not go through the corporate office. At no time was I informed there was a pet fee. Of all the La Quintas we stayed at, we were NEVER charged a pet fee. I was told about the fee when we arrived at the hotel, after driving 500+ miles. No choice, but to pay. When I mentioned this to the young ladies at the front desk, they told me I must have booked through corporate, and not through them. I informed them that I did book through the hotel, and asked them for their direct phone number. I then showed them my phone with the call log, and the numbers matched. This is very disappointing to have to write this about a hotel that we really like staying at. I guess, from now on, Ill have to ask ahead of time. Other than this, our stay we pleasant.

  Ok, but not clean

  Bathroom was dirty upon checkin and also had a bad mildew odor coming from the sink. There was hair on the floor. The room didnt smell clean either. They did come and clean it the next day, but it was not pleasant to come in to that at midnight.

  The location is great - one exit away from Branson. Easy to get too. Staff were great. Had a last minute change of plans and was able to get same day reservation. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and looks new. I will definitely stay here again!!
