"Everybody welcome" it's a sign on the bar's terrace -but it's just a very bad jokeWe were in Corfu (17th times) with my family and noticed the well known sign "Everybody welcome" on the wall of the Andromaches terrace. We decided to visit the place again after a few years (the swimming pool with the wiew is fantastic). First we said "hello" and went to the pool area to have a shower and lie on sunbeds. But something was strange: we always felt the owner's malicious eyes on us. We decided to have a short swim and after that to eat and drink something on the bar. Believe or not we did not have enough time to do that. The very arrogant owner of the place (a middle-aged unpleasant german woman) came and told us: the rule of the place is to drink or eat something for 5.-EUR per person. It was so unpleasant as we felt like a "homeless in the king's palace". I could not imagine what the hell happened with the woman. Of course I immediately answered: OK give us something and I pay you the double price, if you need our money NOW! The other owner of the place was quiet because of this situation. The spice of the thing with me and my wife was there some years before (during the world's financial creasis-time). The whole place was totally emptythat time, only we were the guests. We were talking about the world's situation with the owners, drinking and eating something (everything was done by the lowest quality) and went to swimm. The owner said they are thinking to close the place because of the empty hotel-rooms. We told them not to be sad because everything will change soon. Today I think it was a mistake from they not to sell or close the hotel !! Of course we told this very unpleasant situation all of our kerkyran friends (in Benitses, Moraitika, Messonghi and Kavos) and decided: never to visit this disgusting and arrogant atmosphere's place again. Which is sure: the owner is unsuitable even the "operation of a public toilet". Especially not suitable for a hotel's director-status.The story happened in the summer of 2017 but we were in Korfu this may and our kerkyran friends suggested us to write a rewiew in TripAdvisor.

Nice 5 night breakWe booked these apartments for the last 5 nights of our holiday in Corfu and we were pleasantly surprised , we got a 1 bed apartment that was nicely laid out we had a lounge area, kitchen, shower room and bedroom, 2 balconies 1 with fantastic Seaview's that got the sun 1st thing in the morning and the other one got the sun late afternoon. The kitchen had a full size fridge freezer, 2 ring ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, microwave etc.. The shower room was good with constant hot water, we had a double bed which was very comfortable. There were 2 flat screen tv's, 1 in the bedroom and one in the lounge area. Aircon was also included in the price. The complex itself is nicely laid out with a swimming pool and bar area, there was no draught beer but the fridges were full of cold beers, soft drinks etc. Fedon and his wife were lovely, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The complex is just over 1Km from Benitses which is a nice 15 minutes stroll but coming back to you have to walk up a slight incline for the last part but you can always get a taxi back if you want (approx. 6 - 8 Euros) which we did at night as it is quite dark. On this side of the island you do tend to get aircraft noise during the day but you soon get used to it and I actually enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the planes coming in for landing.. Overall this is a lovely quiet place and we found it very relaxing which was ideal for us for our last few days of the holiday.

Worth every pennyVery nice place to stay , we were arriving early and they were very kind to accommodate us ( for a small fraction of the daily rate as we practically arrived at 5:00 am, usually accommodation charges the full price) and explained everything and left notes for us , handwritten to direct us to the room, very thoughtful. The owners are very welcoming, lovely food at the bar, nice setting, lovely views and a feel of a family owned accommodation (in our case that was what we were looking for). On the morning the owners wife spent a lot of time explaining about the island and conversating with us and made us feel extremely welcomed. All the nice little touches were very good, an accommodation with a personal touch and if you like a place quiet and welcoming, close to all the best bits in Corfu, thats the place. The best parts for me were the evenings on the terrace, having a conversation and listening to the crickets, priceless! Definitely coming back to the place;)

Best place to stay in Corfu.Andromaches is a small family owned and run holiday apartment in Benetsis, Corfu. The apartments are very nice and well equipped. Most have fantastic views of the Ionian Sea - about 200 yards away. Every place on the island is easily accessible from Benetsis and Corfu Town & the airport are only about 8 miles away. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and food markets are close by. The best part, though, are the proprietors, Fedon and Katrin. They are wonderful, friendly, helpful people that helps make your stay great. We highly recommend Andromaches Apartments for your stay in Corfu.

First timeOur stay on Corfu island in November was only for 2 nights & it was a first time for us to stay in apartments as at that time of the season nearly all establishments were closed. The modern decor apartment was satisfactory & very reasonably priced. We had a nice terrace where we had a sea view in front & hills behind. The apartment was situated on the coastline in the centre south but we could reach both ends of the island without difficulty. Glad we found this place!
