FriendlyThe hotel made the holiday special as TUI had omitted to tell us that we were too early for any excursions. They really helped to get us out to Pisa and Firenze. They went the extra mile in arranging travel for us

Nice, quiet hotelLet's start with the good things: what sticks out is the friendliness of the staff. Everybody is very nice and very helpful. The hotel itself sits in a nice garden where you can enjoy your drinks on a nice little terrace. The rooms are functional and very clean, nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain about. What left us a bit unsatisfied is the food in the restaurant. It's adequate but not more. One is just used to better food when in Italy which drove us to eat outside of the hotel even though we had booked half-pension. The thing with the beach is quite misleadingly represented on the hotel website. They write about 'access to our private beach' while there is no such thing. As a hotel guest you get a little discount at one of the beach clubs, that's it. Furthermore the free parking is first come, first served. If it is full, you get told to look for parking opportunities along the street on your own. Again, the website implies something else while admittedly not stating it outright. Overall the hotel is ok but the food and the thing with the beach left us with an overall stale taste.

We loved it here.As others are also saying, this is a very friendly, clean and quiet hotel. Our room was quite spacious, plenty of space for clothes air conditioning, good shower and bathroom facilities. A great view of the mountains from our window. The food was absolutely amazing, we were there for two weeks, no meal was repeated in that time and we left empty plates every night. Our highlight was the Ferragosto holiday celebration. Everywhere was beautifully decorated with lights and flowers, and then we were spoiled rotten with an eight course meal after an amazing antipasti and drinks starter party in the garden first. I'm still full now thinking about it, we were so lucky to experience this. The waiting staff were so friendly and took time to get to know you, the concierge and reception staff couldn't do enough to help us organize our day trips out by finding bus and train times and suggesting the best ways go. The hotel is in a good location for the days out we had, which were Pisa, Lucca and Florence, easily done in a day and back in time for evening dinner. Viareggeo was only 20 mins by bus for shopping and restaurants, or to take a boat tour to Cinque Terre which we also did. There is no pool here, so it's not a lounge around and sunbathe kind of premises, however they can organize places on some of the private beach areas where there are pools and other sports facilities if you wish. Alternatively there is the local free beach within ten minutes walk which was very nice too with a nice little snack bar/ cafe. We really enjoyed our time here, and would not hesitate to come back again. Grazi Hotel Adreaneri.

10/10Great Hotel, staff were really friendly and could speak many languages. The food was fantastic and the chefs were happy to change the menu to cater to vegetarians. The hotel has a lovely garden and is located in a really good location. Would definitely recommend

Pleasant overallMy husband and I went to this hotel last Autumn. Were are in our early 40's traveling as just the two of us without the kids, our stay was 19.09.19 to 24.09.19 so towards the end of the season however, we saw a reasonable amount of other guests so I think the hotel was still quite busy. This review contains a mixture of information relating to the hotel directly and also about the local area. The Hotel: The good bits: The hotel was spotlessly clean, the lobby and communal areas were kept very clean and tidy. Our room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps some of the decor is a bit dated but all perfectly maintained. The service was good, all staff very polite and engaging. Check in and check out were good. Don't forget the travel tax needs to be paid in cash! The not so good bits: We had a room on the right hand side of the hotel, overlooking the neighboring hotel's kitchen, so certainly not a room with a view. There was, as you would expect, noise coming from the next doors kitchen. Especially in the early morning and at peak eating hours, but not loudly enough to be of a bother to us, but perhaps light sleepers might be a bit put out. The food - what to say about the food? I cant quite find the words... Not terrible was my overall impression and I did eat it all. It was just a bit odd and quite old fashioned. Most meals wouldn't have looked out of place in the early 70's when the menu was probably last updated. However, everything was fresh and cooked correctly but when in Italy I expect much, much better. Even very simple Italian food can taste amazing and be full of flavor but nearly all the meals were just bland and very uninspired. There was a buffet table in the middle of the restaurant serving salads and breads to accompany evening meals. Again, most of the dishes were a little odd, but all salads were nice and fresh. We has some seafood (mussels I think) that were lovely and i don't doubt the overall food quality but the table didn't appear to be refreshed and popular items ran out. From a scan of the dinning room I think that this hotel mostly caters to the German tourist market and I wonder if the menu reflects that? The location and general area: We liked the location. A 10 minute stroll into the center of Marina Di Pietrasanta made for a lovely evening walk each night. The Marina centre is very nice, it has shops, bars and cafes as you would expect for a seaside town. We had a few drinks at several bars over the time we were there, they were all good. There is a tourist information centre in the main centre on Via Gaetano Donizetti and a Co-op supermarket on the pedestrian street Viale Versilla. We bought bottle water and snacks for the room etc. The hotel is close to several transport links (buses and trains). We downloaded a very useful app called 'Rome2Rio' that gave us accurate bus and train times for the area. We used the buses and the trains most days. We mostly took the bus to Viareggio and got a train from there and visited Florence, Lucca, Pisa and best of all the Chinque Terre. The beaches: The entire sandy coastline for miles and miles is almost exclusively private beach clubs. The hotel has a deal with one of the private beach clubs to sell day or week tickets to hotel guests at a reduced rate. I don't know the rate because we didn't use this service as it was late September so not quite sunbathing weather. We did however walk under the pier to gain access to the sea and then walked along the surf in a southerly direction until we got the the "Public Beach" a very untidy patch of sand and then we cut back to the main road and walked back to the hotel. Overall the hotel was fine, it wasn't expensive for short break, it was good value for money and generally a nice experience. Would I return? No - simply put I can get more flavorful food at my local Italian restaurant.
