Hidden Gem!We decided at the last minute to plan a fishing trip for our 34th wedding anniversary. Because it was a holiday weekend, we had a hard time finding a hotel. Fortunately, we lucked into the Anchored Inn at Hidden Harbor. The General Manager, Kelly, was friendly and genuinely seemed happy to host us. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious with a lovely balcony view of the water. We appreciated the amenities, too. There is a lobby bar and an exterior bar called The Boathouse, which seemed very popular. We so enjoyed our stay that we have already booked another holiday!

Very European vibe.First time to the Chesapeake in decades. Found the Anchored Inn on the internet. A very pleasant place. All the appointments in the room are new, clean and chic. A lot of attention to detail and design. The room itself is big and dead quiet. It's an early crowd because a lot of the patrons came to fish so they are up early.

Great little getawayWe did an overnight stay last Friday. The rooms are delightful with awesome water views. There are both vehicle and boat parking. There is a small bar in the hotel and doubles as a breakfast place in the morning (they serve continental breakfast for the guests) The staff is most accommodating and pleasant. Would stay there again.

Does Anyone Followup?Management is either very dysfunctional or just dishonest. Two months ago I called to request a hotel room block for my wedding in late July. Information was taken from me and forwarded to Kim who promptly emailed me on a Friday in March. Through email correspondence, I supplied all the information requested. Kim affirmed that she received all the information needed and that the next step was for her to followup with her manager Kelly Dunlap the following Monday to confirm the cost. At that time all requested rooms were available, ie ten rooms for 2 nights. That was the last correspondence with Kim, even despite followup emails and despite having provided my phone number. That was two months ago. About a month ago, I called to followup with Kim. She was not available so the call was handled by her manager Kelly Dunlap who apologized for the lack of followup. She appeared to be unfamiliar with the case as she asked what email address had I sent the information to. She offered her email address and asked that I forward the email exchange I had with Kim to her. We had a somewhat lengthy conversation where we went over the details and Kelly assured me that she would email me the contract to confirm the room block. Frustratingly, at that time there were only 6 rooms available for the second night, however still 10 for the first night. I emailed Kelly and received no acknowledgement of her having received my email. At that point I thought, Forget Anchored Inn. I give up. I decided to followup one last time because many of my guests were having trouble finding lodging for what is a 2 day affair in a remote part of town. Yesterday, I spoke to Kelly. I had to hang up on her mid sentence. I simply could not listen to foolishness and excuses anymore. I had had it with unprofessionalism. Yesterday, frustratingly but not surprisingly there are 0 rooms available for the second night. She did not address whether there were any rooms for the first night because according to her, room blocks cannot be reserved this close to the wedding. She further explained that there is a policy that the rooms would have to be confirmed 60 days before the event. The wedding is July 26th. Were 70 days out. Im trying to do what I can to make things easier for my guests because there arent many lodging options, but thats where I draw the line. Wedding planning is stressful already. I dont need Anchored Inn to add additional stress. My theory: They decided not to do a block because they were getting lots of reservations at regular price. Just my theory. If thats the case Id appreciate clear communication. The time spent trying to work it out with Anchored Inn could have been spent exploring whatever other limited options there are.

Attend our Son's Wedding 10/10/2020We stayed for two nights at the Anchored Inn to attend our son's wedding. It was in October so the pool was closed for the season but, everything else that the staff did was over the top. We could not have asked for anything better. We had a double queen room with a balcony. What a beautiful view of the harbor from sitting out on the balcony. The room was very comfortable and clean.
