  A little gem

  Our first visit to Ammes Apartments and hopefully we will return soon. The apartments are basic but very clean. They are very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Very often when I have stayed in hotels, apartments etc. I have found it difficult to dry my hair in front of a mirror because plugs aren't in convenient places. This is not so at Ammes, there is a dressing table with a mirror and a light above it and a hairdryer at the side ......it is so convenient and has been thought out so well. We also had a brand new small ironing board and an iron in the wardrobe. There is ample hanging and drawer space. We enjoyed watching the planes arrive and depart...this was never too early in a morning and never through the night. We also used Manos restaurant which served delicous fresh fish. The pool area was never too busy, we had drinks at the pool bar but not food, but the reports on the food that I heard were very good.

  A two week break self catering

  We stayed for two weeks on a self catering basis in a one bedroom Apartment with adjoining bathroom. There are facilities to upgrade to breakfast or eat later in the adjoining restaurant that is next to the Apartments. The room was clean and tidy and decorated to a high standard. We had a first floor apartment with a sea view. This is a family run facility. The pool bar serves food and drinks to a high standard at reasonable prices with friendly staff. We ate several times in the adjoining restaurant which again was high quality food, excellent choices and reasonable prices. The Greek nights are good fun and recommended. There is wi-fi by the pool but not available in the rooms. If I was being "picky" the bathroom shower is a little cramped but adequate. The Hotel is on the landing flight path to the nearby airport and we actually enjoyed the loud and close by aircraft but it wouldn't suit everyone. The opening and closing times of the airport is limited so it doesn't disturb your sleep. There is a bus stop a 5 minute walk from the hotel and timetable showing the service. 2 Euro's to the Capital Aristole.. Taxi's are expensive. There is a 1.5 Euro daily tax for tourists which is a bit annoying but not the fault of the management. Air conditioning is charged at 5 Euro's a day, essential during our stay due to the heat. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. There are two other nearby Restaurants and a few a bit further afield. The sandy beach with chairs and sunshades are available at a cost are a 5 minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay.

  Excellent apartments.

  Brilliant location. Spacious rooms. Sea view. Excellent sunsets. Great pool, pool bar well stocked and offers great home made snacks and amazing homemade pizzas very welcoming. Restraunt next door omilos is superb for food and drink staff offer excellent service. We would definetly return.

  Excellent apartments.

  Spacious rooms and sea views. Great sun sets. Nice pool. Pool bar well stocked offering home made snacks and amazing home made pizzas. They will also make sandwiches or rolls for you to take out or to airport. Very welcoming. Restraunt next door omilos outstanding for evening meals we ate there most nights. Great service and sea views and sunset. Will be returning.

  Relaxing, welcoming, perfect place to stay

  Just returned from a week long stay at the Ammes Studios. Whilst the apartments are basic (typically greek), they are very spacious with very comfortable beds and very clean. Side sea view from our terrace was lovely and extremely quiet. This is a family run complex, Nikitas is an elderly gentleman who could not be more charming and helpful and even gave us a lift to a local beach one day after we had asked to book a taxi. The pool bar is run by Isabella who was so lovely, she always had a friendly welcome and makes the best pizza we have ever tasted. Her partner is George (son of Nikitas) who was also very helpful and friendly and another son runs the restaurant next door. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday with welcoming warm hosts (and a choice of sun beds always available by the pool), then this is the perfect place. Within walking distance of a beach, we would also recommend a visit to the Tropicana Bar to watch the sunset with a cocktail or two. The complex is directly under the flight path and it was really interesting to see the planes fly over so low (and the plus side here is it only takes 5 minutes to get to the airport)! The flights are during the day/evening, so no noise during the night. Thank you Nikitas and family for a lovely holiday, we hope to visit again
