  Hotel stay at AmericInn at Hutchinson, Minnesota

  The stay was fine. But I was VERY upset that I could NOT use my"points" that I had accumulated to pay for the room because I had made my reservation directly with the hotel and not with the national reservations number! I have over 95,000 points and they did me NO GOOD!!!! The program needs to be changed! I have tried to use the national reservations number and EVERY time they say that there is no rooms available at the hotel where I need to stay. I call the hotel directly, and they have rooms available !!!! REALLY DUMB RULE!!!!! I may have to start staying at another hotel chain in the future.

  Staff was wonderful

  The staff went above and beyond accomodating our group. We kept changing # of rooms and location of rooms and they did everything they could to make us comfortable. The hotel is a little older but clean. Only disappointment was slow draining shower.

  Very quiet

  Stayed here 2 nights for business. Was in a King suite, 2nd floor, near far end of main building. Was super, super quiet! No need to slide your entry card in and out just wave it in front of the door... was super easy. Doors were "no slam" doors so I didn't hear one person going in and out of their room the whole time I was there. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok, limited choices. My main complaint was there was no TV menu option on the TV remote control. They gave you a list of what TV channels went with which numbers but I had no idea what was on unless I flipped through all the channels one by one. would be nice if they provided what their TV service provider was so you could look it up online.

  Great place to stay

  Very clean and spacious rooms; dog friendly with only a small fee; staff were very accommodating and friendly; easy to find with safe parking; very clean and sanitary pool; simple but tasty breakfasts available as well.

  Smoke smelling room

  hotel room smelled like an ash tray. the hotel was booked so we could not get a different room. the smell hit you as soon as you walked in the door. they gave me a spray for the smoke smell. i then had a bad smell from the spray and the smoke. We had to sleep with the window open at 25 degrees.
