    Did the manger really do the Macarena?!

    We arrived here at 2:00AM after driving a full day. I had my kids in tow and we were exhausted. I checked in with no real issues other than noticing the night auditor was not happy to be there. I said "Yeah, I saw a state highway sign that said this is the exit for the Historical Fort in Fort Smith, so this is the road to get there?" He said "Uh, no, this is Roland, OK." So I said "So this road doesn't go there?" He ignored me. I checked my maps and sure enough it did but I kept my mouth shut. Once we get to our room I notice that we need 2 more towels. I send my son to the front desk. He asks the same clerk for a couple more towels to which the clerk responds "I don't have any here, they are in the laundry area". So my son thinking the clerk will go and grab them or call someone decides to wait. The clerk doesn't go anywhere and my son can see him get visibly irritated, then he walks off and returns a few moments later with towels. He says to my son "THERE, go take your showers." Due to the fact we arrived so late we decided to skip the 6-9 breakfast. In the morning we awoke around 10:55 (Checkout is 11am). It was obvious we wouldn't be out in time and considering how late we arrived I thought it wouldn't be a problem to get a noon checkout. I called the front desk and spoke with the manager on duty. He said "only 11:30". To which I responded with "Oh you guys are full tonight?" He said "No, we can only do 11:30." So I said "We arrived very late last night, after 2am, can we please get a noon checkout?" To which he responded "I understand but NO." I really couldn't believe it. arguing with a customer over 30 minutes FOR NO GOOD REASON. We were out of the room by 11:30am. I went ahead and stopped by the office and spoke with the manager in person to tell him how ridiculous he was being. Well, as you might have guessed he wasn't having it. After yelling at me he climbed up on the counter, did a back flip, and started doing the Macarena. Ok, Ok, he did yell at me but the Macarena flip didn't happen. I have to say if it had I might have stopped in for more punishment on a future trip. So, The rooms? Older, dated, and in need of repair. Don't waste your time or money. Spend an extra $20 and avoid the headache.

    Acceptable, but could really do with a proper clean

    Great little location of the I40. Check in was painless other than an not so nice smell in the lobby. The room was very spacious but was in serious need of a proper clean and a lick of paint to. There were poo finger marks on the bathroom walls, excessive dust and grime on the valance cover for the bed, on the skirting boards and around every edge of the room.... to be fair when we saw the cleaning staff, they too looked like they could do with a clean. The staff on the counter etc were all very polite and even though we were too late for breakfast the gent went and got us some muffins to enjoy with our coffee. Budget yes, but low standards, we wouldnt return.

    Sugar in a salt shaker

    No wonder I couldn't find it. Another "cheap motel/good night's sleep" tale. The carpet, though...almost went into conniptions when those stripes hit me. But, soft bed & soft pillows, clean, quiet...what else do you *need* in a motel? Oh, and my coffee maker was missing the filter holder. But I rarely drink in-room coffee, so yeah.

    Drove over after the casino hotel refused to honor our reservation Front desk staff was friendly Fast service, got a room right away Room a little worn, but service more than made up for it Security latch on door broken, but free breakfast, in room microwave & fridge

    Was a Great Budget Hotel Experience

    Lot's of parking Great Location Dog was only $10 extra. Room was large and clean and well kept like the rest of the property. Seemed tp be well managed. It was the best of the budget motels we stayed at over our 4400 mile road trip.
