  Buen motel para una noche por la ruta 66

  La dueña muy simpatica . La habitacion un poco pequeña pero limpia y para una noche perfecto.Se veia todo muy bien cuidado y renovado. Calidad precio perfecto. Situado en una zona tranquila. Para una noche por la ruta 66 es perfecto

  Clean rooms. Great prices.

  I admit I was a little nervous about staying here. A few years ago it was not a place you wanted to be. I was low on funds so the price was perfect. It is located in a very quiet part of town, so there isn't a lot of traffic to keep me awake at night. But it is still centralized enough to be close to shops and restaurants. After checking in at 3pm, I got into my room and was surprised at how nice it had been remodeled. It was also very clean. I turned on the AC right away, because it gets very hot in Porterville in the summer. It wasn't loud like some AC units are. There was also a ceiling fan above the bed that I turned on to help circulate the cool air. The bathroom was a good size and also remodeled nicely. If you are looking for frills, this isn't the place for you. There is no pool, no continental breakfast, no hair dryer and no iron. I was glad there was a coffee maker though. There was also a nice flat screen tv on the wall. The bed was nice and comfortable and there weren't people making a lot of noise by walking around all hours of the night, like at Motel 6. I slept like a baby. I would definitely come here again on my next visit!

  Pleasant visit

  I stayed here for one night while I was on a road trip to several places in the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains. The location was easy to find, right along Porterville's main street. Check-in was extremely quick and easy, and the staff member at the desk was very helpful with nearby dining suggestions and in answering a couple of other questions. It's a good-sized facility, with all the rooms on the ground floor level, so it was easy to park close to my door. The room was medium-small in size but very comfortable and pretty quiet. There was a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, and coffeemaker, and the TV featured lots of channels. The place looked to be very well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. My only real issue with the room was that I couldn't find any available electrical outlets to charge my phone anywhere in the room, and ended up using a wall outlet next to the sink - fortunately for me, I always bring along an extension cord though even that was barely long enough this time. It ended up being just an inconvenience but having more outlets in the room would certainly have been better. Overall I was happy with my stay, and I'd certainly consider returning if I'm in Porterville again.

  A pleasant surprise and stay

  We needed a couple of nights to visit kings Canyon and sequoia National Forest since we were in the area. No prior planning so we were lucky to find this clean. Very clean place. They are remodeling or actually the manager told us re-remodeling. It was very surprising to find new fixtures on beat up cabinets and furniture that was too big for the room. But they are working on it and again the room was cool clean and smelled good. It will be very good once they finish.

  No heat in Room 114, no water pressure in 124

  ABVI locked me out of my room, would not allow the chambermaid to let me back in, and when management finally showed up after an hour of me having to wait in the parking lot, the woman at the front desk was extremely aggressively rude. As in rather than apologizing, she attacked me. It felt like she wanted to get in a fistfight. Room 114 -the heater did not work and there's no blankets so I froze all night. Room 124 - the shower has barely any pressure and it's hard to get hot water. No light in the shower. The walls are paper-thin so you can hear the neighbor's TV. The towels I would only use as rags for car work. All this for $64... There are nicer rooms but I was never put in one. I understand now why my colleagues call this place "America's Worst Value Inn." Tips: bring your own blankets, towel, earplugs. Better yet, bring a tent.
