  Terrible!!

  Place was clean but nasty. Very outdated! Wall paper peeling off, old damaged furniture, old bath/shower. Wish I would have paid a bit more and went somewhere else. Online pics looked much better!! I almost checked in and checked right out. Too late at that point!!!!!!!!!!

  In perspective, America's Best Value Inn Eau Claire is a wise choice

  My sister was in the hospital across the street (Sacred Heart). The hotel does offer a hospital rate for families. The rooms run around $60/nite range. They are quite large. I had a room with a king and a room with 2 doubles. The rooms had a fridge and microwave and coffee maker. There was also a balcony with chairs. There is a very nice indoor pool and hottub, as well as a nice outdoor pool (full of snow right now). The hotel is attached to an irish pub and to a very very good pizza/sandwich restaurant. Breakfast in the morning consisted of biscuits 'n gravy, cereals, muffins/pastries, cheese omelet and breakfast burritos. Juices and milk and coffee. The rooms were clean. When I go into a room, I pull the sheets back and check for cleanliness. I'm a travel professional and I know good value when I see it. This is some of the best value for my hotel dollars that I've ever experienced. Nice job, Dalton Sabby (gen'l mgr).

  Outdated, Not up to Par

  Although super close to the UWEC campus, it is an older hotel. The indoor pool and whirlpool water was quite cloudy. Had to call maintenance to get the tv to work (apparently it had to reboot). Sheets on one bed were not clean. Breakfast was very limited and not many gluten free options (no hot eggs on the day we were there - just muffins, cereal, biscuits and gravy. I knew it was an older hotel, but we did not have a good experience.

  Nice place!

  Rooms and very large and comfortable. Despite being built in 1968, this hotel has managed to make updates as needed and keep up with the times. Very convenient dog area that is accessible from most dog rooms through a sliding patio door. Hotel is unique with two large pools, indoor and outdoor. Front desk staff very friendly and professional. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended!

  Nice stay

  I stayed in the King whirlpool Suite. Relaxing & just what I needed. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean but had a musty smell when I first walked in. After movement the smell disappeared. The front desk attendant,Tate, was very helpful& courteous. I didn't get a chance to swim in the pool or enjoy the hot tub but they both looked inviting. The breakfast was good, better than average for an older hotel. The Irish Pub in the hotel was a plus. I would definitely stay again when in the Eau Claire area.
