  Nice staff, sub-par room.

  My wife & I stayed here 2 nights while working a Santa charity gig in the Hill Country. The best feature of this (ADA compliant) room was the shower -- spacious, with a hand-held option and the single-handle faucet. But it goes downhill from there -- the wide-enough doorway for the bathroom was wider than the space between bed and desk, making me wonder if someone in a wheelchair could actually make it there. A/C made noise constantly, the TV offerings were analog, the floor was dirty and the pool was thick with washed-off sunscreen. Wifi signal was too poor for me ever to figure out if it was free or not. In all fairness, there's highway construction going on, so cleanliness is probably a losing battle, but it felt like someone surrendered too soon.

  Really horrible experience

  The room had no towels, no hot water (I let it run 15 minutes trying to get hot water). The Non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The pillows looked like they had been thrown away by a homeless shelter. I was exhausted from traveling and just lay down on the bed when I arrived, even though the smoke smell was so strong. I did not even want to know what was under the covers. When I woke the next morning only to find no towels, the clerk asked me if there were towels when I got there. Duh? Maybe I accidently ate them in my sleep... This place was absolutely horrible.

  Must take SHAMPOO

  If you need to save money or just don't want to spend unnecessarily, this is the motel to visit for a few hours of sleep...nothing more. I spent $40.48 complete with tax!!! That was awesome. If you travel extensively, you know to take your OWN shampoo. At these price ranges, the toiletries are typically not good. THIS Motel 6 does NOT stock shampoo on purpose. You get two very thin pieces of soap however. The Motel 6 just a mile or so away DOES have shampoo. PROS: THICK curtains, clean floors, clean shower area, nice staff, coffee in tiny lobby (I didn't drink it, so I do not know if it was good), quiet area...it seemed everyone knew to be quiet at about 10 PM...very considerate for a full hotel! CONS: Dinosaur TV...be patient and it may work, slightly uncomfortable beds, coarse, thin towels (felt non-absorbent), thin soap, green water in SWIMMING pool- I thought maybe the rain....but not so....the grass was a foot high between the cement walk around the pool too! Simple neglect. But I do not use pools when on "quick sleep" trips, or in this price range hotel anyway. IF YOU JUST WANT TO SLEEP, I RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL DUE TO CLEANLINESS, LOCATION TO FOOD, SHOPPING, HIGHWAY, AND DECENTLY QUIET.

  Unacceptable

  The room wreaked of smoke yet it's a non smoking room. There were bugs including roaches, ants and spiders. We got there late, and were exhausted from our three hour trip in the rain otherwise we would have left. I ended up in the ER when I got home from the spider bites I got. I won't ever go back. Not worth the cheap price.

  Family Owned & Operated Very Affordable

  If you need an extremely reasonable stay book here! The front desk staff was very friendly and are the main reason for the rating. The pool could use a good cleaning but it is February so I'm not looking to swim... lighting is needed in the back of the building but the SHOWER OMG I LOVE THEIR SHOWER!!! Excellent deal for an extremely reasonable price!!
