Wonderful Hotel right on the water - Fabulous locationHotel Amelia couldn't be cuter. Super clean with views of the Adriatic Sea. Laura, the host, speaks excellent English and is very accommodating. She will help guide you to restaurants, sites, and even has bicycles to use. Many options for breakfast and she will make you any Italian coffee drink you like...delicious!! There are many, many restaurants within walking distance and the main part of the town is quite close. Lots of history, beautiful ruins and wonderful food complete this picturesque town. I would definitely stay at Hotel Amelia again...no doubt!!

Great location and friendly ownersWe booked the Hotel Amelia based on reviews we read, while they were largely accurate please keep in mind the hotel is fairly spartan, the beds are pretty hard and I prefer firm beds rather than feather soft. Laura is a wonderful hostess, friendly, accomodating, even for our high falutin' American tastes: we asked if it was possible to get an egg along with the usual breakfast fare of rolls and some salami and she provided one at every meal! Endless coffee and since I'm a tea drinker I was happy with the bottomless tea pot. The place is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN even if the room was a bit cramped with puzzling interior design, it provided all the necessities for a seaside visitor including a discount at one of the bagni. The hotel is right on the beach promenade. I liked getting up early and wading in the water while the whole beach was aglow from morning sun. There are many options for the italian style breakfast, you are not locked in to the hotel's and it was an add on for the room fee we paid, about $72/night, a real deal. The sea facing side looks down at a bar that treasures volume above all else and since the town sanctions loud music till 3 am it takes full advantage of the opportunity. Luckily if it's cool enough you can close the window which does a good job of blocking the acoustic invasion.

Nice enough.Stayed here in July 15 with my husband, we only stayed for one night as we were travelling down the coast. It was nice enough and easy going. The staff were very friendy and the room was clean. Breakfast was very basic i just ended up having an apple! The area itself is nice with a lovely sandy beach although you did pay quite a lot for the beds which the hotel guided us to. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area.

The Family run hotel of your dreams. The Amelia is not a luxury hotel but what it lacks in swish it makes up for with buckets of charm and homeliness. The rooms are simple, but clean and completely satisfactory. They are very quiet even thouh it`s situated in the middle of a busy area. The Amelia is very reasonable and therefore don`t expect room service and cocktails But do expect the wonderful Family who own it to look after you.beautifully. Laura (the boss) will amaze you with her charm. Her children,Natalie and Simon are there in the Summer to help. They all speak Enlish well. You can stay full board and eat simple but fine food for ridiculously low prices. Not 5 star but you know when the family sit down with you that it`s yummy. Where else is there a hotel where the family eat with the visitors?. A lost world. Wonderful. The beach is only 50 metres away and there are at least 6 superb restaurants within half a mile. We eat out because we love fine Italian food and the choice of restaurants is endless, There is even a cafeteria which seats a at least 200 by the harbour started by the wives of the fisherman which serves a 4 course fish lunch for 13 Euros..Don`t think it`s rubbish it`s delicious as you can tell by the queues at lunchtime. If you want a cocktail walk 100m to your left from the hotel and enjoy the Cafe Bon Bon and feel part of the Italian summer. The beautiful old town is a 15 min walk away.. Sit outside the Caffe Central about 1830 and see the characters of the town.and appreciate Italian style. There are some fine shops in Fano. If you like Vinta/e My Loft is a real find. Finally I must say that if you are after a very reasonable hotel but don want tacky The Amelia is perfection and if you ever stay and don`t like it, you obviously have no style..

Totally disgusting, hygiene non existent. This hotel could be the best, if the staff could give a damn. But they don't. If I were you, I'd find something else. Dirty floors, hairs sticking to the legs of the chair, bathroom floor hasn't been cleaned, coffee rings on the table. Receptionist totally overworked and not interested. It's a terrible experience.
