  Acogedor

  Acogedor, personal muy atento. Tiene un pub muy típico y bonito. Limpio y bien situado. Construido sobre un edificio de finales del 1800. Estuvimos en familia. Si os apetece ver la zona de los lagos o visitar Kendal os lo recomiendo.

  Excellent value dog friendly hotel

  If your looking for value for money and a hotel perfect for dogs then this is the place. Good location being near a retail park with fast food outlets and a 24 hour supermarket. Own car park, large rooms and an excellent breakfast. Dogs got a biscuit on arrival and the staff were very friendly. The pub downstairs is lively in the evening but it didn't disturb us. There was even a small park over the road to walk the dogs in early morning and late at night. If you want perfect decor in your room and your going to exam the tile grout then this is not the place for you. If you want a great value hotel, dog friendly and a fantastic breakfast served by friendly staff then you need to book.

  OK but not brilliant

  This hotel is a place od two parts. Part 1, the downstairs bar area is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the drinks are reasonably priced and the inclusive breakfast is superb. Part 2, the upstairs accommodation. The rooms a small and in need of improvement. There are holes in the walls and stains on the carpets. The walls are so thin we could hear everything from the next room.

  Needs decorating badly Only do bed and breakfast no evening meals Room was cold had electric fire Bed was comfortable The staff are friendly Breakfast was ok Dont think I be going there again You get what you pay for

  Very disappointing

  Arriving at 12.30am the night porter never lifted a finger to even carry a paper bag up the flights of stairs; we were laden with heavy luggage plus the dog & dogs bed. He showed us to our room and couldn't get away quick enough when he heard the noise coming from the room next door. Having driven hundreds of miles, all we wanted to do was sleep, but they were still partying next door, so at 2.30am I went down to reception & told him to either move us to another room or tell them to stop the noise, he did the latter. There was no breakfast the next day, they don't include it, but still advertise that they do. The whole place is tired and in need of decoration; torn wallpaper, stained bathroom walls, batteries flat in TV remote, extension lead to kettle didn't work. The following night a couple moved into the room next door with their dogs, who barked for most of the night. The people in the rooms above complained as well; so another disturbed night. I had to bang on the wall in the end! There was never anyone on reception. I was glad to get out of the place and would warn anyone from staying, particularly when it's more expensive than much nicer places in Barrow.
