Bad Value. Overpriced. Poor facilities and inconsiderate staff. Felt trapped. We were given a room with a queen bed but we were given a single and a double. After some back and forth with the staff, they upgraded us to a suite with a king size bed. It was all downhill from there. I was on the toilet and I could not flush because the water did not work for a full 30 minutes. There would be brown outs frequently which is not a huge deal during the day but very unsettling at night. We were charged $300 for the meeting of the waters. That is an absolute absurd amount to charge us for taking a speed boat out and bringing it back. I'm guessing because it was just the two, but they didn't warn us that the price was going to be so high. They rescheduled our indigenous dance event 3 times with very lame excuses. We had a 3 PM flight and they wanted us to leave on a boat at 1 PM. It takes an hour to get to the airport. That is barely enough time to check-in, drop-off our luggage, and get through security and the gate. We asked to leave earlier, but we were refused. We had to ask Booking.com to step in, which they did. In the end, we left one day earlier and we weren't the only ones. There was another Brazilian family there who left early as well because of their dissatisfaction with the hotel. Seriously, go to a hotel on the mainland, it's not worth depending on their boat service and feeling trapped. p.s. They were not obligated to refund us that one night, but they did so as a peace offering. I appreciate hotel management for doing that.

Wonderful experinceJust spent 3 nights at this gorgeous floating palace in Amazon jungle. We were upgraded to a suite as it was our 40th wedding anniversary.Thank you so much Bello for your generosity in offering this to us as it enhanced our stay with you enormously! Food is delicious although we struggled a little with language barriers in restaurant.Overall we had a wonderful experience including a jungle trek with Washington. He spoke good English thankfully!Only one tiny niggle and that is regarding drinking water as we have to pay for all water.Other hotels have supplied one or two bottles daily complementary as it is essential in room for cleaning teeth etc. However it certainly should not put anyone off visiting as it is AMAZING!!!!!We really enjoyed our boat trip with Bello as he is so passionate about the environment.Thank you again.

Be Aware of Over Charge!!!I have been charged one extra night that we never stayed without authorization and they never refund it to me after months of communication! We stayed 2 nights in the summer during our trip to Amazon. The staying experience was neutral. The room was clean and the shuttle they offer is convenient. The guide David and restaurant staffs were friendly and helpful. We received misleading answers on tour prices beforehand and the front desk also misinformed us on the tour schedule, but that kind of things happens sometimes so I can forget about it. All the nightmare began after we were back from the trip. When i happened to check my credit card bill (I don't check every month and that could lead to a huge loss in this case!) I found a bill from an unknown company. From the address I thought it may be this hotel, but although we only stayed for 2 nights, the charge was exactly 3 night rates and was made before we arrived at the hotel. And we haven't authorized/signed any room charge during our stay! (Since I thought it was precharged through Expedia, where we booked, but it turned out not). So this is a illegal over charge without authorization. I contacted the hotel immediately. After sending several emails I got the reply that they will look at it. Then the long process begins. I need to send multiple emails, and only when I indicate that I will write about the fact on Tripadvisor they get back to me, or no reply at all. And regarding the refund they said they don't refund to credit card nor Paypal, only bank transfer, so i informed them my bank account in Japan, but nothing was transferred and no contact since then. And it has been over 4 months since our stay, and i feel being cheated and totally ripped off since the room rate is not cheap! I asked Expedia to investigate on this but seems they cannot get reply from the hotel as well. I advise you not to book this hotel if you don't want to get involved into this kind of cheat and screw your experience in the Amazon up!

Beware of unexpected cancellationsIn November 2016 I made a booking with Booking.com for 3 nights around Easter 2017 at the Amazon Jungle Palace. I duly received a congratulatory message confirming my reservation. 6 weeks later my reservation was suddenly cancelled without any kind of explanation or compensation. Moral of the story: beware when booking with Amazon Jungle Palace and Booking.com. Maybe you should have a second booking in reserve because they can drop you as they dropped me.
