Dirty Facilities, Mediocre Stay, Vacuuming throughout the nightThis five-star hotel is highly raved about but recent reviews on cleanliness left me rather worried about the stay. They are completely right. If the dirt doesn't convince you, perhaps the lack of sleep will. I didn't get any since there we CONSTANT vacuuming noises going on outside our 3rd floor deluxe room till 4am (and multiple audio recordings in my phone to prove it). Thermostat wasn't working very well too. - Outdoor tables at Shutters are grimy, understandable with the rainy season but could be much improved. Facilities look way more tired than a couple years back. - Pool is disgusting, don't bother taking a dip. Turned up for a fully-booked slot with other guests and we all left upon seeing the state. Sentosa's beaches or maybe even puddles on the ground are cleaner. I won't fault the overcooked poached eggs or lao-hong muesli at breakfast, but I think serving black-grey spinach and salad that's a little on the rotten side isn't acceptable. Staff look a bit frazzled and overworked (a poor girl came with our toiletries request 30min late saying sorry she had to rush her lunch to deliver it), too. It's kind of a pity that the staff are taking the fall for such poor hotel maintenance.

Not value for money.Everything was badly stained or broken in the room and deafly no real cleaning had been done for several months. The room service menu was seriously out of date online and when I received the updated menu I ordered beef stroganoff and burger that turned up soggy and looking incredibly sorry for itself. After one or two bites, I suspected it contained seafood, so I call room service and they first reply I got was it did not, but 10 minutes later, they called me back saying the bun was made with squid ink. Being allergic to seafood, it wasn't a pleasant experience for me. Thankfully, I had my medication with me and didnt have a severe reaction. Unfortunately, the menu neglected to say that it contains seafood, and I was charged $80 for and unedible food that couldve killed me. The staff were good enough to remove the burger from my bill, and I ordered grab food instead. I feel if you are going to do such a poor job in food preparation and delivery, you may as well just give up and just tell people that you dont serve food.

Not so dog friendly hotelBought my husband, daughter and dog for a staycation in February 2021. Was very disappointed with the 'dog friendly' hotel that they mentioned. I was not allow to bring my dog anywhere indoor at all other than the room. I am expecting more than that when I am asked to pay 300 plus sgd more to bring my dog for this staycation. Other than the dog issue, the place looked really run down and the tv looked really old. Definitely not going to recommend anyone to go there for any staycation until they are going to do some renovations.

Not worth the priceStayed in Courtyard suite with private jacuzzi. It was the most dirty and run down room I have ever stayed in and I would not recommend it to anyone, have a look at the pictures to judge for yourself. All that for 700 SGD (with tax) per night. Also, even though they require guests to check out at 11am, the room was not ready at 3pm - had to wait 30 minutes.
