  No dudes en quedarte en el Amantaka!!

  El hotel esta muy cómodo en el centro de la ciudad, cerca de tiendas, restaurantes y atractivos turísticos. El servicio excelente, los cuartos muy grandes con alberca privada, el hotel tiene su alberca central también, el restaurante con una comida deliciosa y muchas opciones , con opciones para vegetarianos. Una pequeña tienda con objetos muy bien escogidos de la localidad. Todos los día el hotel ofrece te en la tarde

  Underwhelming

  We stayed at the Amantaka, Rosewood, and Grand Luang Prabang on the same trip, and Amantaka was to be the highlight. The service was excellent, as one would expect. The dinners we had there were the best meals we had on the whole trip. That said, we were underwhelmed by the experience, mostly because of architecture and design reasons. The entire decor was very sterile, quite consistent with the site's prior life as a hospital. One gets the feeling of staying at either a hospital or a military base. There is a school next door, and it is VERY noisy when the school is in session (the rooms have good sound-proofed windows, but if you are not in room with windows closed, the noise can be deafening). There are other design inconveniences: nowhere to plug in hair dryer in the bathroom, body lotion provided in a narrow-neck bottle which requires you to dip in your finger (not sanitary), and the use of a small gong as do-not-disturb sign is not convenient. There are no screens on windows so you can't really open them for fear of mosquitoes. For environmental reasons, we also wished water was provided in glass bottles rather plastic and options were given not to change towels and sheets.

  Perfect

  We have stayed at a few Aman resorts but this one is the best - perfect. It cannot be faulted, the setting, the attention to detail, the service, food and a host of other things about which other reviewers have commented. Thank you Tom, Brendan and all the staff for an unbeatable 4 days.

  Just lovely

  We spent four days at the Amantaka. It was a wonderful place to unwind. Our room was wonderful and the staff was great. The hotel arranged tours for us. There were not many guests but the Coronovirus scare impacted all the hotels in Asia, I think. I loved the location. Right in the heart of the town.

  A great experience

  We stayed in Amantaka for 2 days. Thanks to Tom and the whole team for their great hospitality. The hotel is stunning, in center of town but so peaceful inside. We had a wonderful time using the pool, bikes, tuk tuk, spa and a guided tour to the waterfall. The dinner set up with lighting around the pool is just magic.
