  Best for service, comfort, and ocean view

  Staying at this Ryokan I was at...made the experience even more memorable! The service was so excellent..that I was still determined to make them a Thank You card with only a pencil and a piece of paper. Missing their Traditional Japanese style rooms with the Beautiful ocean view of Amanohashidaste, the most scenic spots in Japan known as the Bridge to Heaven. Thank you to Amano Hashidate-So! I was getting a bit lost and was so delighted to see a familiar staff find me at Miyazu Station, purposely drove me back to the ryokan late at night.~ Not only that, but being sent off again right to the station in time for our train departing. Exceptional service!

  Very average

  We stayed here during a motorcycle trip through Japan. Although the staff was very friendly and the views from the rooms stunning, the place was very dated. The carpet in my rooms looked so filthy I was too scared to walk barefoot and to top it off my room was a smoking room, which I find deeply unpleasant. I would have changed, but I'm not even sure there are any non smoking rooms available (you'll find that some older hotels in Japan do not offer a non smoking option). The only good thing about it was that it had been raining all day and we could finally dry up and have a hot shower.
