    Peaceful Getaway

Great place to stay for a peaceful getaway. We stayed in one of the 3 cottages located at the property ( Magnolia Cottage) for 2 nights. Very clean, comfortable and amenities included kitchen equiped with everything for self catering, air conditioner, a spa bath, bbq on the verandah and fire cauldron for the cooler nights. Hosts Ken and Kathy offer a service second to none with nothing too much trouble. If you dont fancy self catering we would definitely recommend ordering the lovely meals from the homestead, these can be delivered to the cottage or you can dine at the homestead on the verandah (as we did for dinner) and watch the lovely sunset. Highly recommend the fillet mignon, cooked to perfection by Ken, accompanied by a lovey homemade salad prepared by Kathy. We were treated to more great meals the next night with the chicken breast (with the tasty mango chutney) and also enjoyed the hearty cooked breakfast kindly delivered to the cottage by Ken on both mornings. Overall, if you are looking for some peace and tranquility then this is the perfect place. Ps. If you are after a bit of exercise then try the steep walk up to the top of Black Duck Mountain and admire the views of the lovely Mary Valley. Thanks again to hosts Ken and Kathy for a lovely 2 days.

    Amamoor Homestead is fantastic!

We were looking for a nice getaway in the vicinity of Gympie. We were searching for somewhere comfortable to relax, not too far out of town, and with a good breakfast. What we found was Amamoor Homestead, which ticked all these boxes and more! The owners Ken and Kathy were absolutely lovely and greeted us on arrival. The self-contained cabin (one of three on the property) was spotlessly clean and private. It came with a comfortable queen sized bed, a generous couch that can fold out into a second bed, and a kitchen with a dining table with 4 chairs, with a full-sized fridge (and a bottle of fresh milk, not long life!) The big bathroom had a gorgeous spa bath, and as we had requested a mobility-friendly cabin we were very happy with the space to move, hand-holds and fold-out shower seat. Out on the wide veranda was a table for two and a gas BBQ plus our very own fire pit out on the lawn in front. The most delicious breakfast was served up on the veranda each day at the big house, and Ken and Kathy moved us to a different spot on the veranda each day so we had a different view. And the views were simply stunning! We also ordered dinner in the veranda for one of the nights we stayed - and both the salmon and steak we ordered were delicious! So much fresh and tasty food! Lastly, this little piece of paradise was only half an hour away from the heart of Gympie, making it perfect for any adventures you have planned during your stay. We had the most relaxing and peaceful stay and would highly recommend Amamoor Homestead.

    First time B & B stay

Our first time B & B stay found not have been any more enjoyable, we stayed in the Hibiscus lodgings which is very comfortable and quiet. We chose to take the dinner package where we enjoyed dining on the verandah of the Homestead wIth a view down the valley while the sun set. Our sleep was perfect (very quiet and dark). For breakfast we were invited to sit at the opposite end of the verandah for a different view while Ken and Kathy prepared our very big and perfect breakfast. We would recommend for anyone visiting this area to stay here and enjoy the Amamoor Homestead and the wonderful hosts Ken and Kathy. Thank you.

    Fantastic weekend!!!!

We booked 2 cabins as we were staying with my elder parents. Beautiful setting, very affordable accomodation and feels like camping without the fuss. Very comfortable bed. An amazing spa and very roomy cabin. Firepits for each unit and firewood available for $10 a large bag. We opted to have dinner on the verandah one night and breakfast one morning. The steaks were very moist and tasty, one of the best we've had. Followed up by an amazing breakfast. Our hosts looked after all our needs. Very close to kandanga pub. Highly recommend for a weekend away. Dog friendly so our dog played with the neighbours, came home very relaxed.

The perfect place for a getaway

Amamoor Homestead is located in the picturesque Mary Valley about 20km from Gympie and is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We stayed in one of the three cottages on the property. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. You could self cater if you want but we had dinner on each of our three nights at the homestead. The meals were first class and Ken and Kathy perfect hosts.
